GPU under full load

Featured Replies

Hi, After reading some posts on the flightsim forum I downlodad the GPU-Z to see how my GTX 260 is used in FSX. I only took a default test flight from Friday Habour to another little airport near by with the trike. Than I checked the usage of my GPU and was shocked. All clocks were running on full load and the GPU got over 50°C hot. So I think it´s time for a change, maybe a GTX 560TI?Do you guys encounter anything similar in GPU load or is it just because of the "old" GTX 260 GPU?

Best regards, Steffen

Certainly can be the case here, depends on the scene. If it overcast in Seattle, I can easily get 90-100% on the GPU and the CPU starts to tank on core 0 (the main simulator thread) along with the FPS. Do you see that too? The only remedy is to reduce clouds, window size, anti-aliasing etc. Or buy a better card than my GTX470.

50 degr. is fine at full load. Bjorn
