February 15, 201115 yr I don't know how any serious user is going to fork over $ for their KLAX now that we know FSDreamteam is working on the same airport, and considering that the default FSX isn't all that bad at all, it's one of the finest default airports in FSX!I don't get it either, but apparently plenty of people dig it and some/most will then gladly pay for the better scenery as well... And BP knows this. Good for them, but not good for airports they used to do that nobody else would.IMHO, this is a good example of the consumer pointing the dev in the wrong direction. Mike...
February 18, 201115 yr can someone make a BGL for the Blueprint KLAX FSX. I need to have all AI takeoff from 24r 24l 25r 25l. The planes takeoff the wrong side! Can someone help! thanks!
February 21, 201115 yr I just flew into KLAX with the new BluePrint KLAX scenery. I know that some folks like the FSDreamteam sceneries, but I found that they can have a significant frame hit. The BluePrint LAX airport IMHO is just OUTSTANDING and the price it right. What impressed me is almost no loss of frames as I came into 25L for a landing. The terminal details are really good. We all have different taste, but for my dollar BluePrint has produced some very good stuff. I do wish they had moving jet bridges, but I can live with non moving, but detailed jet bridges.Bob
April 11, 201115 yr would 10KT winds from the west cut it? I tested this with heavy winds from the west but the ai planes still took off from 7 and 6s!
April 11, 201115 yr Well, considering that it say's "Advanced, custom-made AI mapping file including realistic gate and parking spot layout as well as airline gate assignments**. A basic AI mapping file without gate assignments is also available as an option" , why wouldn't AI work?If you take a moment to read the PDF in the link I provided it explains how the AFCAD/ADE was designed. Also I don't own it since I am waiting for the FSDreamteam version which according to them will be out sometime this spring.Again, from their site:"Why do BluePrint Sceneries have no animated jetways and vehicles?Animated jetways and vehicles are not one of our design priorities. BluePrint sceneries are not intended for "Airport Simulation" applications. Our designs are aimed at Flight Simulator pilots that enjoy the level of detail and accuracy that characterizes our designs. What happens before we taxi to the runway and/ or after we taxi to the gate is not of much interest to us. We are, however, offering FS pilots an alternative that enables them to experience FS airports at the the highest level of accuracy and adjustment to reality currently possible."Also there is no AES support for the airport nor will their ever be if you were wondering.Reading Blueprint's stance on airport services, I'm surprised they just don't add the hooks for AES and let AES do the work. I don't know how had it is to implement AES in an airport, but it has to be easier than doing it yourself. The added benifit would be that it would give owners the option was still offering FS pilots an alternative that enables them to experience FS airports at the the highest level of accuracy and adjustment to reality currently possible. I bought ImagineSim's KIAD over Blueprints for this reason. :( Derek RogersPC Specs: Intel i7-4790K 4.6GHz : 16GB RAM : GTX 970 4GB
