Control assignments

Hello allDoes anyone know the reason why the throttles would be in the advanced position when nothing has been touched? I use PMDG and have been experiencing assignment issues and uninstalled and reinstalled PMDG but now this is happening in the Default aircraft too. So I guess it's and FS issue.FS has started to crash too.Any advice would be gratefully receivedThanks in advanceAlan W

Have you tried to change the sensitive option in Fs2004? Sensitive full right and null zone as little as possible..Or try to backup your Fs9.cfg and delete it?

Hello and thanksBoth tried and still no difference!!BRAlan

Have you tried deleting your fs9.cfg file? I'd make a copy of the file then delete it. See if that helps clear up the issue. Also, you could just start the flight cold-n-dark and set the throttles to 0. Then save the flight and use that as your starting flight. D

Done that tooSeveral timesBR

Reset and save your default flight to a default airport parked position with a default aircraft such as the baron or king air. Place the default aircraft parked cold or cold and dark (with throttles down.) (I have the paid FSUIPC with the 'magic battery extender' enable so I leave the battery on). Do not save as a default flight anything with PMDG or other add-on complex models.Your default flight is loaded when you start FS to initialize parts of it even when the menus show up. PMDG suggests each time loading a C172 but by making a default aircraft saved to the FS Default Flight in the condition you want that should initialize any aircrft in that state when creating a flight or loading a saved one.BTW, before I made a C&D aircraft default flight when I loaded any saved flight that had a parked aircraft with throttles off, the engine would run briefly until starved for gas. My C&D default also has the fuel cut-off levers engaged. Now this would not affect crashing so maybe an module added via some add-on is causing problems. If your throttle control uses proprietary software try disabling that module and just calibrating in FS to see if that relieves any problem.

HiThanks for that.I have tried this already and appears not to make much difference. I've narrowed down the issue to the ailerons and speedbrake, however for some unkown reason the throttles (when loading the aircraft) advance as soon as N1 reaches idle without human intervention!! Don't quite get that one. This is happening in not only PMDG but the default aircraft too.So frustrating!!Kind regardsAlan
