How to backup FSX folder/files?

Featured Replies

I'm using Win 7, 64bit, and recently I tampered with and messed up several very critical files for FSX which left me with no choice but to do a full reinstall of FSX. At the time, I tried using system restore to revert back to a point of time where my FSX was still functioning, but the files were still messed up after the restore and FSX would not run, which I found very strange. My question is, in the hopes of preventing something like this from happening again, is there a way where I can back up my computer, every single file, EXACTLY as it is now? Thanks

There are a lot of harddisk image copiers out there, Norton Ghost etc. You could also insert the fsx disc and try the repair option, may not work at all though ( been there).Bjorn

Windows 7 has an excellent imaging tool that will backup your entire hard drive to another partition, harddrive or dvds.
