uninstalling

Hey Everyone,I'm about to uninstall and reinstall fs9 on my win 7 machine, any advice on the uninstall? Are there any file I have to delete that the uninstaller doesn;t?thanks,Grant

Usually people have difficulties keeping the files. In your case, after uninstalling you can -Locate the FS9 folder in your C/Users/YourUser/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FS9 and delete it-Locate Flight Simulator Files in Document and delete it-Delete all the left files and folders in Flight Simulator 9 directoryThat should be it I guess :(

I use a couple of useful utilities when uninstalling any game-type programs. Eusing Registry Cleaner will purge any registry entries that might get left behind by the standard uninstallers (including Windows own), and Ccleaner will do the same thing, but will also clear out any other junk you might want to be rid of. Both are free, and Google will find them if you want them.

Registry cleaners don't always clear everything that might get left behind after an uninstall. There have been many occasions when I have searched the registry after running Ccleaner, for example, and found entries still not deleted and which I have had to remove manually.David

Just a reminder: Be sure to run the uninstallers for any add on that you have that is for FS9 before you delete leftover files.Best regards,Mel

Yeah you're right about Ccleaner leaving stuff. I usually run Eusing after Ccleaner and it finds loads of entries that Ccleaner missed. Ccleaner's good for clearing out other clutter though.
