Hi there!I just purchased and installed the PMDG MD11 for FSX and when I go and select the plane from the list, FSX crashes and needs to restart.I don´t get any error messages, just the message that an exceptional error has occured and Flight Simulator needs to restart.Please help!

Hi,Please sign your full name as per forum rules.Try reinstalling the MD-11. Make sure you run the setup program as Admin.

I already deinstalled, renewed the fsx.cfg with Flusifix and reinstalled, but it just doesn´t work. I can look at the details for the plane and it shows the model, but when I select it, FSX crashes.I am Administrator on my pc, UAC is disabled.I am running Win7 32bit and have FSX with Acceleration.Hope you can help!

Does it just crash or do you get any type of Error message? Almost sounds like it is faulting at the point it "Loads" all the extras for the MD-11. Did you ever have to give permission to allow to runa bunch of programs for the MD-11 once you selected it?

No, I don´t get any error messages, just the default "exceptional error" and FSX restarts. I accepted all the dlls and modules to load into FSX, when he asked me.I have heard that you need Visual C++ 2010 installed for the plane to work....is that right? The install program for the MD-11 never asked me to do it.edit: Just checked...I have Visual C++ 2010 installed obviously.

OK, problem solved!A very very nice support guy has fixed the problem by taking over my pc via Teamviewer and has solved the issue within 5 minutes!Apparently a installation of a Wilco 737 has corrupted my dll.xml file and the dlls for the MD-11 couldn´t load, so he replaced the file!The service from PMDG is absolutely fabulous, the support guy was very nice and the response was very quickly!So I can recommend PMDG wholeheartedly!Fantastic service!
