March 3, 201115 yr I am attempting to repair the J41 because I am sufferring CTDs again with the same cause as before (gauge issue). I am reinstalling the main J41 package and clicking repair, do I need to do this for each repaint? I have checked and search the CTD issues of the past, my included, and I cannot seem to come up with a cause. As you can see if you search under CTDs you will find previous CTD issues. I have repaired the J41 before but ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. If that is the case do I need to do it for all the repaints I have? Tks. Richard Spencer Churchill PVT SEL GYSGT USMC (ret)
March 3, 201115 yr I would uninstall and then reinstall all of the liveries. It is likely that you would not have to if you edited your aircraft.cfg file, but better to let PMDG do it. Branton Turner
March 4, 201115 yr Author Well I unstalled the J41 and reinstalled, making sure I also installed the update and I still get a CTD. I don't know what's left, I love flying this plane and I am afraid that with NGX coming out whenever these issues will effect that also. I afraid included the event viewer infor from the last CTD a few minutes ago and would really like some constructive input. The only thing different prior to these series of CTDs is the recent install of the new KSFO and the ORBIX's Northwest project. March 4, 201115 yr Are you using FSX SP2? If so, there have been reports of CTD's in add-ons being fixed by re-installing SP2. Paul Smith.
March 4, 201115 yr What other add-ons do you run as well. I have sometimes found that certain outside applications can conflict with each other is unknown ways. For example, ATR from flight 1 and Active Sky didn't get along real well unless you applied a patch. If Wilco 737 was installed before PMDG 747, it wouldn't work. It's all kind of a crapshoot. About once a year I completely uninstall and reinstall FSX. I do this because after enough time and enough add on software, it just gets corrupted. Branton Turner

March 4, 201115 yr Is the JS41 the only airplane that is giving you this kind of trouble? Your error log shows that you have installed FSX in the Program Files (x86) folder, which can lead to problems with Windows UAC. Better use C:\FSX\ or something else. For now try to to give your current user account full read/write access to the FSX folder if you haven't already done this. This can be done in the Security tab under Properties (right-click on the FSX folder). Maybe this will fix your problem(s). "A life is like a garden.
