  1. I am just purchased and installed a new Dell monitor 1920 x 1080 Pixel Resolution 24" LCD Display Mdl S4241SH. I changed the resolution in FSX, but when changing from panel to outside views I am getting, for the lack of better term, wash out and no objects per se on the screen. Any attempt to return to the panel frame does not work. I have tried changing my video display settings but the problem persisits. Any suggestions? Thanks
  2. I just installed the latest update and now I am getting freezes. What I mean the A/C seems to stop even though the airspeed is bleeding off then the sim starts again and the airspeed increases. It did it in climb and also in cruise. Any ideas?

Has anybody used FSXGo? And if so what are the best settings? Thanks
  4. Open up AVSIM as I do almost every morning to see what's new and I read this. I don't know what to say, except I believe that AVSIM will take care of itself and flourish just as you intended Tom. I hope you find peace, and I think you may have already. All I can really say is God Bless!
  5. I am having a problem when attempting to put in a approach and losing the flight plan.

I recently downloaded the new NA Global airports package, I had previously downloaded the individual packages. I thought the new download would cover some airports I didn't have. Upon examination of some of the airports I find an abundance to trees. Thy're everywhere on runways, taxi ways and parking areas. How do I get rid of them or how do I uninstall this package and revert back to the orginial that didn't have this issue?
  7. Thanks for you help. I ended up doing a complete uninstall and reinstall.
  8. Thanks Jim I did what you suggested but I still have the same issue. What i failed to mention when the program loads it generates the scenic files and builds the data base every time I run the program. It almost seems that the program is running like a double program. I am ready to do a complete uninstall but really don't want to do that again after doing about a month ago.
  9. I am at wits end. FSX will open to welcoming screen but when I go to fly it crashes to the task bar and freezes the system so I need to reboot. I am running Win 7 w/64 bit on a GeForce GTX 650 which I just updated the driver. After this started I updated the latest version of FSUIPC and still will not go past the opening screen. On the event viewer I am getting this information:Log Name: Application Source: Application Hang Date: 1/29/2015 3:17:09 PM Event ID: 1002 Task Category: (101) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Richard-PC Description: The program rcv4.exe version 4.3.0.3845 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. Richard
  10. Hi Bert I am a little late to the party and recently had to reinstall FSX, can I get your updates please. [email protected]. thanks
  11. If I had found the answer in AVSIM then I wouldn't be here but since historically this forum has provided me with assistance and since I can't use my PMDG products I see as a PMDG issue.
  12. FSX will not load and the message I get in the event viewer is "A request to disable the Desktop Manager was made by process (Flight Simulator x v10.0.6137.0)". Any ideas to cure of help would be greatly appreciated. I am running Win 7 with 64. RSC
  13. Jim the event viewer is not showing the CVHSVC any nore but FSX is still no loading. I now am getting this message:Log Name: Application Source: Desktop Window Manager Date: 1/16/2015 4:45:58 PM Event ID: 9010 Task Category: None Level: Information Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Richard-PC Description: A request to disable the Desktop Window Manager was made by process (Flight Simulator X v10.0.61637.0) Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Desktop Window Manager" /> <EventID Qualifiers="16384">9010</EventID> <Level>4</Level> <Task>0</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2015-01-16T21:45:58.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>152207</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>Richard-PC</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>Flight Simulator X v10.0.61637.0</Data> </EventData> </Event> Can you help? Thanks for the above information Rich
  14. Morning I am running Win 7 with 64 and FSX. This morning after Flight 1 B200 was updated with the new Nav the FSX CTD and when I tried to restart the flash screeb would appear for a second and the program would go to the task bar and fail to open. Task manager indicates it something with CVHSVC. Never had this problem before, any suggestions to get FSX up and running?
  15. Synthetic vision?
  16. Thanks Ray I'll give it a try.
  17. I am receiving a message when after loading my flight plan "IPC request bad data". Can someone tell what's the problem? Thanks
  18. Cannot shut up the traffic advisory ######. TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC TRAFFIC. Also there is no 8 in the 3rd digit of the altimeter. On another note I cannot believe I was censored for rhymes with itch in my previous posting.
  19. I don't know if it has been stated before but I would love to see one of the Mitsubishi either the Solitare or the Marquise. Nice thing is that the avionics are old school, with some incorporating GS430 or something along those lines.
  20. How is that, which I already configured, going to put the configuration manger on my screen?
  21. Upon installation I have no config manager to set up my button version. Richard

I am sorry now in retrospect I downloaded to updates for other FSX products and it could be one of them, so again my apologies. This virus is my first and it is quite something. I used a secondary support company to help get rid of of it and have spent hours doing so, only to have it appear as soon as I reopened FSX. So the virus is hidden somewhere in the FSX complex and I fear the only solution may be to completely uninstall FSX and start anew.

Has anyone had an encounter with the FBI virus after downloading the 777? It seems to be embedded in my FSX files. I thought I had eradicated it but when I opened FSX the virus reappeared. The last thing I did before the virus appeared was to download 777 and follow some of the recommendations in the introduction manual.
