Crashes after opening screen

Featured Replies

I am at wits end. FSX will open to welcoming screen but when I go to fly it crashes to the task bar and freezes the system so I need to reboot. I am running Win 7 w/64 bit on a GeForce GTX 650 which I just updated the driver. After this started I updated the latest version of FSUIPC and still will not go past the opening screen. On the event viewer I am getting this information:Log Name:      Application

I would really appreciate any help as FSX is my passion here in the Boston area, with snow past my 1st floor windows.

According to the report, the AppHang was caused by Radar Contact.  You might have to reinstall or make sure the fsuipc version is compatible with Radar Contact.

Thanks Jim I did what you suggested but I still have the same issue. What i failed to mention when the program loads it generates the scenic files and builds the data base every time I run the program. It almost seems that the program is running like a double program. I am ready to do a complete uninstall but really don't want to do that again after doing about a month ago.

Hi Richard,

But it wasn't FSX that crashed.  It was Radar Contact so there's something wrong with that installation.

I'm actually having this same issue, and it only started after I updated FSUIPC last week. I'll try to gather info next time it happens.
