March 3, 201115 yr I was preparing a flight from Anchorage to Dutch Harbor in my J41, and I was a little too close to the gate after engine start, so I decided to slew the aircraft back so I could turn it around. After pressing 'y' to disengage slew mode in FSX, both my engines shut down! And with them, the FMS. Incredibly annoying! Now I have to wait for the engines to cool down before restarting them (having to go through parts of the checklist again), and I have to turn the FMS back on and enter my flight plan all over again .Is this a bug in the J41??

March 4, 201115 yr Yeah, I learned those things the hard way :). I don't know why slew mode shut my engines down, but I had similar problems with a default FSX plane just after that (engines shut down unexpectedly. Not in slew mode, though). Today I tested to see if the same thing would happen after slewing the J41, but it worked just fine after. I hope something isn't wrong with my FSX. I hate reinstalling it!
April 10, 201115 yr Happened to me today - identical circumstances you describe. So you are not alone, not a problem with your installation but a quirk with FSX and/or the J41. April 11, 201115 yr Hmm..do the chocks do anything other than provide a nice visual? I had no problem pushing back..taxing ect..when I forgot to 'shift-2' and remove them. For that matter, the APU does a nice job of following you around when you taxi as well :D haha Chancy Law
