Nope, they just sell it to people with 2 million dollars to spare! What's the matter? You don't have that much? :D Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
  2. Stefan, I encountered the same thing at KPHX this morning. Have you tried reinstalling FS2Crew? That solved it for me.
  3. What are you trying to do, exactly? You can configure all of those options through the PMDG Setup->Aircraft menu in the CDU. Anyway, that sounds like a file permission problem. Did you install the NGX as an administrator? Where is FSX installed? Also, you need to sign your full name to your posts, otherwise they might be deleted.
  4. The equipment options are handled per tail number. Changing these options on one livery only changes them for that livery. I'm not sure about your second question, however.
  5. I can't recall hearing switch sounds in any Carenado AC ever, so I'm guessing they're not included. Did you try the "email with link" option? That worked for me.
  6. I bought the PW sound package, but I currently use the default sounds. Does that tell you enough? All jokes aside, the TSS external sound are great, and the cabin sounds are great if you're sitting in the passenger cabin, but not the cockpit. One thing that really bothered me was how loud engine #2 sounded, even though it's the farthest from the flight deck!
  7. I hope it's a good brand of beer...

You'll need to sign your full name to your posts too. If you put it in your signature, it won't show up in a google search if you're concerned about that sort of thing. :)
  9. Definitely sarcastic, lol. But going back to what you said earlier "just enjoy the scenery", well, I'm enjoying NZSI right now in the Aerosoft OV-10 Bronco, which, ironically, also went on sale shortly after I purchased it. In all honesty, I'm not going to put Orbx on my "enemies list" that I keep in my Hello Kitty trapper keeper, boycott them, or anything like that. I have certainly not made my final purchase from them, but I will no longer be reaching for my wallet the moment one of their sceneries hits the market. I will have to determine if each of their products is a sound investment before purchasing. No emotion, just business.
  10. What a lucid, intellectual, and well-thought-out argument. You've totally set me straight. I will now go purchase a second copy of every ORBX scenery to atone for my transgressions. :(
  11. From my post in the other thread on this subject:The fact that they are having a sale right now doesn't bother me. However, including products released a few weeks (or DAYS ago, as with OS9 and PAKT) was not something they did with their past sales. For example, I bought Cushman Meadows at full price during their last big sale in May. It was not discounted because, in Mr. Venema's words, "We feel this is fairer on those customers who prepaid for KCMW at full price, when they did not have to." At that time, there was no discount for pre-payers. In the same post, he also said: "Also in respect to pre-paying we've changed our policy to give pre-payers a 15% discount incentive from now on; something that will be welcomed I am sure. So we protect loyalty in two ways: a 15% discount and protection from sale pricing."I'm not going to "suck it up" when a company says one thing and does another. However I agree that it is a free market economy, and that people act on their own self interest. Since Mr. Venema has already accused me of being selfish, I will now act the part and stop being so generous toward them with my scenery purchases.
  12. Wow, so it is possible to fail miserably at PR twice in 24 hours...From JV's post:"Orbx does not rely on pre-pay revenue from its customers to fund development. If we ran the business like that we would have closed our doors quite some time ago. Orbx is fully funded by its shareholders and company owners/directors. Pre-pay was always offered as a benefit to the customer, not Orbx. However, we have deemed that having any sort of pre-pay scheme creates finite delivery expectations for some customers and also a distraction to our developers, so we've abolished it."Aww, you're breaking my heart."I'd like to note that Orbx does not sell 'relationships' with its customers, just the finest quality scenery and airports with the best support. You purchase our products; we support it. Please don't expect anything more than that from our company. We are a business selling quality FS addons, not an internet dating site Very funny. Continuing with that analogy, guess who's getting no second date and a fake phone number with 6 digits?
  13. Riiiiight, having a healthy, respectful relationship with your customers is such a load of baloney. :Rolling Eyes:The point you are missing is that, all emotion aside, they have gone back on the originally stated intent of the pre-pay option as I quoted in my previous post.
  14. Exactly! The fact that they are having a sale right now doesn't bother me. 15. Are you running it as an administrator? I believe that could could cause this kind of thing, assuming you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7. Try changing some other options like the panel color or try setting the refresh rate on one of the displays to 0. Just see if it's only the wing views that don't work, or if it's everything.
  16. It's been a rule for almost 3 years, according to this topic:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/240151-pmdg-forum-rules-read-before-posting/Anyway, Chet, open up the Config Manager for the J41. Under "Virtual Cockpit Model Options", make sure that either the Medium" or "High" version is selected. That should take care of it.
  17. It looks like the topic was double posted. Your reply is on the other one. No foil headgear required! :)
  18. If you use a pdf viewer/editor like Foxit, you can create your own bookmarks. It's tedious, but well worth it.
  19. If you have to ask whether your cpu or gpu is overclocked, it probably isn't. Did you build this computer yourself, or did you get it from one of the high performance pc builders, such as Alienware, Jetline, etc.? If it's a standard Dell or HP or something along those lines, then it is not overclocked. If it's sold as a custom-built gaming pc, it's possible that it comes overclocked by the builder. I would recommend installing CPU-Z. This is a free utility that will report cpu clock speed, among many other things. As for your video card, you should be able to find that in your driver's control panel.
  20. They should be off. Turn them off, then try starting one of the engines. Watch what happens to the pressure. The APU only provides bleed air as needed, so if there's no demand, it keeps the pressure to a minimum.
  21. Just click on the screen to bring up the pop up, and then close it.
  22. For your first question: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/348841-pneumatic-system-bug/page__fromsearch__1
  23. For me, it's the former. It just doesn't interest me, so I wouldn't buy it.
  24. Oops, I must have been thinking of ILS autotuning when selecting an approach...
