MK Studios KLGA is now 2024 compatible
Nope, this airport seems to be broken in FS2024. It shows up and it looks great, but it seems nothing can 'see' it. BATC doesn't pick it up, won't load traffic into it and on the BATC map it is blank. Even the Fenix doesn't seem to register its location and you get an error message on the MCDU about checking its location once the ADR's align.

Anyone experienced with Airhauler and FSX?
Actually..if its not too off topic..any experience on how the CS 737-200 and 707 work with airhauler and cargo/fuel. I have to admit I was drooling a little bit wathcing the video of the cargo pallets being loaded in the planes lol. I have flown the pmdg J41 (loooove that plane btw) with airhauler quite a bit and although it works, its a little tricky, and you just pretend there is cargo behind you.

haha well, I do :)

Anyone experienced with Airhauler and FSX?
I have never noticed weather effecting my pilots in AH; In fact, I would bring my laptop to work and keep them busy flying when I was away from the desktop. (new laptop now, don't have everything back on it yet lol). As far as I can tell, when you are connected your companies flights are injected into FSX and treated just like AI aircraft. Which, much to my annoyance, means they land in any type of weather. I would love to see AI (and myself for that matter) have to hold or be diverted to another airport due to weather.

Anyone experienced with Airhauler and FSX?
Al....you are just awesome lol Thanks for the tips for airhauler..gonna try that out, especially getting the rep up because I am just a sadist I guess and I always start on hard mode and it always feels like it takes forever to get it up there. Also..although kind of off topic..can't wait for SimAir, looks like it will be a nice addition to the airhauler type game.

Amazing Video!
THAT was really cool Agree about the rain effect...if we could get that in FSX while flying :D

Is a service pack/patch ever coming out?
Also watching for this. The panel state as you mentioned, the texture flashing, some more functions in the FMC (hold button). And I would love for them to implement the cargo variant of this aircraft (as well as with the NGX). A lot of us Air Hauler users would really appreciate that.

FMC Payload passenger loading and question about maintenance option
Instead of starting a new topic..I use Air Hauler and can't wait to get the NGX in my fleet..since you brought it up Burns (or anyone else), just wondering how the interface is between AH and the NGX. Thanks =)

Killing waitin' time : which plane do you prefer after 737 NGX ?
Flying the J41 (and loving it), I just really hope they go back and make some fixes and additions...hold switch would rock =pAlso..more cargo support. A lot of simmers are running Air Hauler I think.I don't think there will be a cargo version of the NGX..makes me sad =(777 really never did anything for me..nice plan and all..guess I'm kind of nostalgic, and having grown up flying on 737-200's, DC-9's..I really like the idea of steam gauges and INSBut I would be very happy for a 717, I think that would fit the gap between the j41 and b737 and the larger ones nicely..all my humble opinions of course :)

Questions about new Yoke/throttle purchase
Have had the CH yoke (with the three quadrants built onto it), and the CH pedals, for a few years..I agree with the other posts that it feels pretty cheap. With the yoke shaft being plastic and the frame around it also plastic, from day one it always felt 'sticky', and was really hard to get centered (elevator), the little 'trim' wheel on the front to the left of the yoke, which only trims the yoke itself (doesn't interface with fs in anyway) is very stiff and also hard to 'center' - although it does help some since the yoke itself sticks so badly. In fact, I have gotten where I almost seem to fly any plane more with that little trim wheel thing than than by using the yoke..which I don't really like at all. And it could be more of a software issue but I have also never been able to really get the aileron trim centered either. It seems very 'spiky' and when I think I get it centered it always starts drifting one way or the other. (could be software or fsx but I have spent more time with fspuic or whatever -paid version- than I would like lol). As for the pedals; they recently stopped working. As I had them longer than the warranty I opened them up. I discovered that the wiring was run in a way that they had continuously been subject to friction around all the moving parts. The wiring itself seemed very thin, and 'shoddy' in appearance. and looked like it was kinda thrown together and just stuffed inside of the housing. I will say that the housing for the pedals is heavy and quite sturdy; its just the wiring and the ...pots?... that looked really cheap. I didn't have a solder so I taped them up the best I could where the wires had broke, and reinforced several places that were about to eat through the wires. I than stuffed everything back together as best I could in a way that looked like it stayed away from moving parts. It has worked okay since than but I fear it won't last forever..if long at all lol.Oh and lastly, one of the tops of the throttle levers broke off way to easily, the body of the throttle coming up to the head is very thin and seems weak, and even super glue wouldn't hold it back together, maybe some epoxy? lol So I'm totally ready to try the Siatek yoke and pedals. Maybe the throttles as well.My experience may not be every ones of course.

Can not restart engines BAe 4100
I agree with Scandanavian..however, isn't the little switch below the power levers (the 'throttle', the ones with the reverse)..that little switch clicks left than right, isn't it labeled "un-feather"?So after hitting the engine off switch and putting the levers in full reverse- which sets them on the stop locks. When you go to start you click that switch..if you look out the window you will actually see the prop blades moving into a 'neutral' position. Than you can do your engine start. But also as someone mentioned, if you do this and than wait a few mins, they do seem to leave that neutral 'start' position. My procedure..once I have everything set up and and I am ready to start, I pull my levers back to the full reverse again click that switch both directions, pan out the left window and watch the props until they stop moving (it is kinda hard to see, but you will see it)..Now I start my engines. This has prevented me from having aborted starts and having to wait 20mins for the engine to cool off (which seems to take too long? is that realistic?)I know this may be slightly different in procedure from the real thing, but it works well with the PMDG-J41 :)edit - couldn't spell 'reverse' looh one more thing - don't forget to push the levers up out of reverse into the start range as well (although I have forgotten to do this and the engines started)

JS41 "Digital" Speed Cards
Sweet!! Can't wait to get home in the morning and try this!!! Thank you so much for putting this together :D

Do you fly your JS41 in the United States?
I do all my air hauler flights in the JS41, north east US out of central NYSo no rw flight numbers, but I do love the plane :)

Airport Design Tools
Thanks! That is along the lines I was thinking..I downloaded and I am messing around with ADE, deciding if I want to pay for the prokey? Is that one of the programs you are referring to?One of the things I would like to be able to do is overlay a template in order to help make aprons/taxiways..without having to use exact lat/longs.The other is a measuring tool (doesn't have to be exact)...but so I can be somewhat accurate in my layout...for example to know that I have adequate spacing between taxi-ways ect..

Airport Design Tools
Is FSX Planner the best out there at the moment? I am finding it extremely difficult to use, especially trying to make aprons. Its too easy to click on the wrong thing (accidentally moving a runway or the entire apron instead of just a point), there doesn't seem to be a way to move your view around while your working without stopping and changing tools, I've spent hours trying to set up an apron to accidentally click wrong and it turns it into a funky mess..trying to fix that deletes the entire apron haha..I know I'm venting a little but it just seems quirky as hell. Its also very difficult to put an imagine in by using just the Lat Longs (I know the designer was working on a way to drag one around in a future version but haven't seen any recent news).Just wondering if there are any other programs people are using?EDIT: searches for other tools brings me to ADE most often (version 1.47 is the most recent?) Is this a more advanced program than the FSX Planner?

Slew mode shuts down my engines!
Hmm..do the chocks do anything other than provide a nice visual? I had no problem pushing back..taxing ect..when I forgot to 'shift-2' and remove them. For that matter, the APU does a nice job of following you around when you taxi as well :D haha

Fuel X Feed
Just an update, and I may have had it backward in my previous description:Cross feed switch open (will not open valve until one of the standby-pumps is turned on - than you can watch the valve display cycle open)Right Pump - pulls more fuel out of right tank than leftLeft Pump - same, but now from the left tankIf you are watching the gauge you will see one start to drop a little faster than the other - its not fast, and I think it would take about 5 mins at cruise power (96% RPM, 48-50% torque) to make a 200lb difference (or resolve a 200lb difference)Per the AOM can not land/take off with a 200lb or more difference in the L and R tanks.I think you would have to taxi on one engine a really long time, or have an engine go out in flight and be flying on one engine for a while, to make a 200lb difference. And I don't do any single engine taxing, its too complicated and sorry but buggy..to work these prop stop locks and stuff, better just to get both engines going at the same time (for me anyways.)

Fuel X Feed
Well..I don't know that i followed an exact procedure, just opened the cross feed switch and turned on the standby pump of the engine I wanted to feed..So in my case I turned the Left Stndby pump on, which I think feed the Left engine from both tanks (the left tank was lower than the right because I usually start left to right...and for some reason the right didn't start)...anyways it wasn't a fast 'transfer' more like an uneven burn...I would guess that the right fuel tank is feeding both engines..maybe some is still being feed to the left engine from the left tank during this process as well..I think both values were changing, but in the course of about 5 minutes(?) the right tank was about 20lbs lighter than the left. So I reversed the switches for a few minutes. It was a couple nights ago so I don't remember the exact timing or amounts. I fly in it a lot however, I will pay closer attention to it this weekend..

Fuel X Feed
I can say for sure that the x-feed does workHad to sit for a while with one engine going because of a failed start on one (waiting for it to cool back down)...anyways after take off of course I noticed the difference in the fuel tanks so, cross feed switch on than one of the standby pumps on, went back to flying..before I knew it the imbalance was to the other side :)As mentioned above, there is no tank to tank, it will just feed both engines from one of the two tanks.

J41 Cargo?
No updated information on this? has anyone been able to change the .cfg file to make the J41 work with say airhauler?Max cargo should be about 7750lbs on the J41EHowever in its current config airhauler only recognizes about 3971lbs.Much appreciate any tips, thank you :D

Ultimate Traffic 2 - your review
I'm downloading UT2 now, I think the info in this post will be useful in helping me get it installed..so I'm glad it was posted..I look forward to enjoying this..Just thinking ahead, are there any add-ons to this people have made with out of service airlines like Pan Am for example?
