March 9, 201115 yr My first officer constantly thinks I am saying approach during a flight. In an hour flight, he will select approach about 20 times, which I have to deselect so the altitude capture works.I am not saying anything when this happens, completly silent. Approach seems to be the only command that is false. What am I doing wrong or any tips to prevent this.

Try keeping your mic further away from your speakers.Generally, if you don't need voice for long periods of time, I suggest turning on Hard Mute.Cheers, B. March 10, 201115 yr Author Never noticed if the green bar sees approach, will look for it next time. Thanks for the other tips as well
April 29, 201115 yr If it persists you can also check your mic's volume, if I'm not mistaken I've read recently somewhere that it could be boosted up to the max after loading FS2C's speech recognition engine. The solution, again as I can recall, was to lower the microphone's volume AFTER initializing FS2C.
