Yair- I would think you would start with Windows/Display settings to change monitor resolution.Be aware that as resolution increases, so does your CPU have to work harder to produce the extra pixels.Your proposed 1440 res vs 1024 will require 65% more pixels computed! And with a 15" monitor, the value of higher res is doubtful- even if the CPU can handle it.AR

Hello J. tnx for your response 1. With my Phenom II X4 955, I would be very surprise if it would not handle the higher resolution properly.2. I'm trying to get 1280x1024 on those monitors, and I checked all 3 of them they are capable. current 1024x768 this is no expectable3. The weird thing is that the setup slider doesn't go higher then 1024x768 , it doesn't let me exercise other modesYair

Isn't there a custom resolution tooly in nvidia cp, where you can set res. as you like? I think your monitor is not being recognized as plug 'n play, that's why "they" recommend a certain resolution. Must be a driver issue.Bjorn

Hello Bjorn !nup. All 3 15" Monitors are being recognized .... so this is not the reason

Are you seeing this? after selecting what resolution you want the apply button should show.

.... don't use nVIDIA Control Panel, just the Win7 display setting, does it matter ?????

I'd say yes. As far as I recall there's some setting to be checked for that 4th monitor.Bjorn

ha. Found it. it tels me the same thing Max 1024x768, trying to apply a custom 1280x1024 and it doesn't take it. I hook up the monitors to another computer and they all go up to 1280x1024 easy (got Nvidia 8400GS the other computer) Thinking.gif

Go into Device manager, expand monitors. It should read triplehead to go for one and check the other. If it say's generic plug and play that could be the reason.. If your monitor came with a driver disk then run it.you may have to manually update the monitor driver in Device manager to enable it to see higher resolutions. Hard to believe with Win 7, but I know this happened sometimes with XP and newer monitors.Ron.

Hi Ron !Win7 recognized all Monitors3 HP w2207h 22" on TH2go GTX460 5040X1050 no problem1 Dell 1504FP 15" on GTX460(second port) 1024X768. Problem 2 HP L1506 15" on GeFforce 8400GS 1024X768. Problem As a mentioned before, neither of the 15" will go higher then 1024X768 Yair

Who recommended, that would be the manufacturer of the monitors.Dell 1504FP 15" only goes to max res. of 1024x768. from Dell specs. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/1504fp/en/specs.htmsame specs for HP..ie. 1024x768. Hp specs. http://h10010.www1.h...76-1147872.htmlThe other computer may have had a different spec monitor and has preset the 4:3 ratio 1280x1024 in it's settings, but is not correct for these monitors. should be 16x10 ratio.you could try this; plug one of the 22" monitors into these ports and set a resolution of say 1400x900. Maybe the display drivers might remember this setting and it could be still therewhen you plug back the 15". but anything above the max recommended will cause some distortion or even damage the monitor.matrox have an expander tool which may help, not sure.. http://www.matrox.co...oad/th2go/tmet/good luck,Ron.
