Wilco Airbus Vol 1 Night Time Texture fix

Featured Replies

This fix is for the interior night time texture fault with the A319/320IAE models. fsx2011-04-0411-39-50-94.jpgfsx2011-04-0411-30-05-14.jpg Before changing any files remember to back up the folders you are going tobe working with. The process is very straight forward, all you need to do is copy somefiles from the A321IAE house texture folder to the 319/20 housetexture folder. The files arecockp_mirr_Lcockp1_2_Lcockp1_Lcockp2_Lcockp3_Lcockp4_Lcockp5_Linterior_Lmisc_Lpanel_Lpanel01_Lseat1_LOnce done fire up FSX and you should now have a normal looking interior for these planes. What I would also suggest is making up a new folder for these textures so you can easily update new paints that you might install later. Sawyer

Any idea on how the exterior textures can be fixed? Apart from the fact that they are very intense, they seem to illuminate the fuselage even when the landing lights are off. Actually for some strange reason once the panel lights are lit the fuselage is illuminated by the landing lights independent of whether they are actually on or off.

I cant help you on the exterior models as I don't use them. I removed them long ago as they hurt my eyes mad.gif I replaced the A318/19/20 and soon the 21 with the freeware Project Airbus models which are far superior.fsx2011-04-0412-43-46-88.jpgfsx2011-04-0412-42-21-76.jpgSawyer

Also you can install a new livery from the wilco website - goto the evolution page and choose the extras tab - these updates do not have the washed out night textures as listed above.Who wants to fly with the house liveryt anyway :(

LOL I think you must of read it wrong or are just confused. I chose the house livery because it's the livery that's installed with the product, it would have been silly to mention some random paint that people may not have. And as I mentined above the fix is for all paints, also bear in mind a lot of people here at AVSIM will not pay for current update and this fix works for both.Sawyer

There are better replacement textures for the VC in the library (here) by Jure Dolanec of FeelThere Just search for Wilco VC Night. This is what it looks like!

Thanks sawyer for clearing up what I thought was clear in my post. You are totally correct with the way you have fixed the night time texture VC cockpit fix. All I did was to offer an alternative option, not to dis-credit what you had done. At the end of the day, as long as users are aware of what's wrong and how it can be resolved thats all that matters.Perhaps we should also point out that the exterior night time lighting issue with the A320iae can also be fixed with a similar method. I'll list the files to copy across later today, if someone wants to list them then that would be great.
