April 8, 201115 yr I did make sure to check the "Extended Flying Hours" box inside the options menu before I left DFW. ?? Never heard of this. Can you tell me what it is/does, and where to find it? Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)

Same here, I desperately need this, as I can not go 3 hours before my FS Crashes, it would be greatly appreciated!Hey guys, I was just being a little facetious as there is no check box for that option in the menu. However, applying the HIGHMEMFIX=1 in the [Graphics] section of your FSX.cfg seems to accomplish the same this as if there was a box in FSX for the option I made up.In all honesty, anyone who has a computer that is equal to or better than mine should be able to make flights of 10+ hours with no problem as along as you have a good sound operating system and FSX install to start with. I think the problems with stability come in to play when the wrong tweaks are applied by users who frankly dont really understand what they do.I can't even count on both hands how many flights I have done between the US and South America or Europe in the PMDG 747 or LDS 767 that have lasted 10 to 15 hours, with ASE providing weather and UT2 providing traffic and I have never had a crash.Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
April 9, 201115 yr Thanks Sean. I don't have crashing, but I wondered if there is something that I was supposed to do before a long flight. Thanks for the clarification. =) Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
April 9, 201115 yr As for crashes that occur when accessing the menus, google 'UIAutomationCore.dll FSX'
