MCE & The FS++ Team

Featured Replies

I should tell you up front that I am keenly interested in VFR flight using single and twin engine aircraft. I have and enjoy RealAir's SF260 and their Turbine and piston engine Duke. Recently, I decided to check out Multi Crew Experience and found I enjoyed having company in the cockpit and also being able to communicate with ATC via voice transmission. The learning curve is a bit steep but the benefits are great. Along the way, I had occasion to communicate directly with MCE's support staff, the FS++ team. Without getting too involved in a lot of detail here, just know that these communications took place over a number of days and involved numerous e-mails back and forth. I want to say here and now that I have never experienced a better customer service experience. Both in terms of knowledge and expertise and in timeliness of response. Those folks are nothing if they are not persistent! They hung with me while I attempted to resolve some issues largely brought about by a neophyte attempting to use a relatively sophisticated product for the first time. Never were they dis-interested, churlish or patronizing. I know many of you are familiar with MCE but for those who are considering adding such a program to their portfolio, I say you will not be disappointed and you definitely can believe in and you can rely upon the development team that stands behind MCE.In today's world, with all that you and I could spend hours talking about, it is refreshing to receive a large dose of good old-fashioned genuine, high quality customer service! I don't know any of these folks personally but I can tell you this - - - their Mamas reared them right!John

Yup, completely agree with you there. In the course of doing the AVSIM review of MCE I was in contact with the developers a few times and they were always extremely helpful and informative when I was asking stupid questions about the product LOL and their subsequent support has been good too. Incidentally, I stumped up some cash for some Cepstral voices for use with MCE and that makes it an even better product.Al

I agree Al. I have cepstral's "David" and he adds a lot to MCE. Just between you and me, one of the first questions I posed to the FS++ team was how, in the world, do I tone him down as I was lollygagging along, enjoying myself in my SF260 going hither and yon - - all the time my co-pilot was have one heart attack after the other because headings, speed and altitude were constantly changing. I thought I was going to have to clean off his seat when we finally landed. Once I got him calmed down and with a proper understanding of the rules of "Sunday Afternoon" VFR flight we got to be great friends! John

I think it is quite funny when the co-pilot freaks out. I'm pretty sure I actually heard him exclaim '*******!' once when I was racking the PMDG 747 around for a really short final. That made me laugh my &@($* off.Al

Absolutely agree about the FS++ support. I cannot speak too highly of them. Since purchasing MCE a while ago, I have badgered them with heaps of damnfool questions and feedback (hopefully some of it useful) and their response has always been terrific. They are committed to their product and the satisfaction of their customers. Some other developers could learn a lot from them !

I too would like to add my positive view on MCE customer service. When I first purchased their product I was running it on my old PC. I emailed them telling them I was going to build a gaming machine and would it be possible to get a second license, to which they responded yes.A couple of months later I had built my new machine so I emailed them with a copy of the earlier emails and sure enough, withing a day, they responded with a second activation key. Their replies to emails have been quick and answered all my questions exactly. Could not really ask for more than that.One of the best customer service I have had the pleasure of dealing with.
