May 13, 201115 yr Hey guys - Since I'm flying mostly on Vatsim these days, it's probably time to update my AiRACs... I've been on the Navgraph website and find it somewhat convoluted... Could somebody tell me:1) How much does it cost to stay current in USD (the credit system drives me nuts)2) What installer/downloads/and or procedures I need to follow to updateThanks! May 13, 201115 yr Commercial Member Hi Buddy,The navdata stuff is actually simpler than it looks - here's what I do:1. It's 200 credits for a year's worth of the navdata updates (that saves you 60 credits a year, three cycles worth). You can buy each cycle individually for 20 credits, but the minimum number of credits you can buy is 100, so to me it just makes more sense to do the full year. As to why they do credits and not just straight-up money, I'm not sure, but it's 10EUR for 100 credits, 20EUR for 200 credits. It'll automatically do the exchange rate to dollars or whatever when you buy them. Ends up being $28 or so for 200.2. The file you need for our planes is the "PMDG (All Products)" one from this link:http://www.navigraph...www/fmsdata.aspWhen you get the installer downloaded, just run it, pick FS9 or FSX and it'll put the files in the right place automatically. (if you have both sims, just rerun it and pick the other one next time)Note too that buying this gets you access to the data for every product they have listed there, not just ours - so if you have a bunch of addons you can upgrade your navdata for them all - it's not 20 credits per addon, you get the whole slate of them for that. May 13, 201115 yr Navigraph only accepts payments in increments of 10 Euros, which is equal to $14.11 USD at the time of writing. This is good for 5 AIRAC updates; or an update every other month plus some airport charts (Jeppesen) before the credits expire (270 days).None. You purchase this cycle's updates and choos the PMDG installer. It will do everything by itself minus the liability "I agree" button. May 13, 201115 yr Commercial Member plus some airport charts (Jeppesen) I don't think they're Jeppesen charts... they look like modified LIDO ones or something like that to me. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
May 13, 201115 yr I don't think they're Jeppesen charts... they look like modified LIDO ones or something like that to me.Maybe not. I've seen some Jeppesen charts at TNCM and they look similar. However you know your stuff better than I so lets go with that. Eric Vander Pilot and Controller Boston Virtual ATC KATL - The plural form of cow. KORD - Something you put in a power socket. May 13, 201115 yr For flight on VATSIM, you don't really need to update the AIRAC every month. Unless a major change occurs where you fly, once or twice a year should do it. I'd use the rest of the credits for charts. They're very good for hard to find ones.

They're very good for hard to find ones.I can't tell you the number of times I didn't update my AIRAC and my chosen STAR/SID was outdated, forcing me to input waypoints manually to get the correct pathing.Just buy 12 month's worth of updates. It saves you money in the end and you're always current. No surprises for you or ATC. AJ Pongress
May 13, 201115 yr Commercial Member Agreed, I used to fly out of frankfurt quite a bit and the SID/STARS seem to change a lot, I would read back my clearance then have to manually reprogram the Sid myself. Much easier to just keep udated. Rob Prest
