Too late, reinstalled with AHCI already...I can´t see any issues or differences from IDE mode, looks OK to me.

Yep, thanks!Did a test with HD Tune Pro - don´t know how to show the pic - but I got these results:Access time: 8.48 msBurst rate: 311.6 MB/sCPU usage: 2.0%Made a 300 Gb partition on the WDC, installed FSX with ORBx PNW and REX2 and ran the HD test as "shortstroke" with 300 Gb.What ya think...?Big%20Grin.gif

Access time at 8.48 mSec is twice the access time of a Velociraptor!Cheers,- jahman.

Okay, but I only paid $ 88 for the thing, so I can live with that, thanks for the info!Whistle.gif

If you are satisfied with the way FSX runs that is all that counts!

Yes, you´re absolutely right, and maybe we forget that sometimes?"The FSX grass is always greener on...etc.."!Still performing to my satisfaction, load times are good, no stutters, no blurries.Let´s see what happens when FSX is grown to around 200 GB.!Black%20Eye.gif
