Alternate Extension Gear Handle

Featured Replies

Hello,I'm having a tough time accessing the alternate extension gear handle. I understand where the location is, seen pictures, but I don't know how to access it while I'm in VC view. I'm in the captains view and I just can't figure how to get over to the first officers side. Even in 2D panel and hitting the FO button, I still can't seem to figure it out I've seen a couple of threads in the forum showing the location, so, I don't have any problems finding it. After flying the MD-11 for over a year, this plane still amazes me; I've been having fun with the failures option. Thanks for any help,Chris K.

While you are in the V/C, press "A" to change the view to the F/O seat. You need to move the seat all the way aft to gain access to the handle. The access door is on the floor on the left between the seat and the center aisle panel (not sure what the name is at the moment.

Thanks so much. How simple. I think I have tried using "A" but it's not mapped on my keyboard. I'll double check.CheersChris k.

Use:Shift+Enter/BackspaceCtrl+Shift+Enter/Backspaceor Ctrl+Enter/Backspace to move forward and backward, left and right, and up and down (not respectively, as I forget which is which at the moment).
