Fuel problem

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I have a big problem with the Tinmouse. Whenever I set up the fuel via the fs inbuild configurator, the tanks will fill up automaticly. When I set, for example, the fuel in both wing tanks to 5000 lbs, the plane will load with that fuel onboard. But as soon as it is loaded, the fuel gauges will start to go up to full and after some seconds the tanks are fully filled again. Don´t know why this happens. I never had any problems with that in other airplanes. Btw. UAC is off and FS running as admin.

Best regards, Steffen

You need to pause the sim before you go into the menu to change the setting.

That´s the trick? Thanks for the help, Bob.Update: This didn´t help either. I paused the sim, went into load editor, changed the fuel and then unpaused the sim. As soon as I did that, the tanks filled up again. Hmm, maybe it´s the scenery? I´m standing at gate 4 in Victoria Intl (cyyj_505_1.zip).

Maybe you're parked at an active refueling spot on the scenery? When you say load editor, do you mean the payload and fuel menu in FSX, or some external load editor program?

I use the default FS9 load editor. I would like to fly in FSX (and my system is highly capable of doing this but I´m too lazy to reinstall the 5th. time in 3 weeks due to activation problems). I´ll check whether I stand on a refuling point but I can´t think of. It´s an normal gate but we´ll see.

Best regards, Steffen

Try loading a default C-172 first, then switch to the Tinmouse...maybe there's a lingering setting from a previous flight interfering.

Steffen,I have (had?) the same problem. It was like the numbers I entered for fuel in each of the tanks wouldn't take hold. What I do now is enter the fuel - usually percentage - then copy what I've just entered and paste it again into the same tank. Rinse and repeat with the value in pounds (or kilograms). Just copy and paste over. Seems to be working for me, in the last five or so flights the fuel I that load "sticks" :smile:Regards,Jure

Thanks Jure, I´ll test is. Hopefully it´ll fix it. would be a shame not to use this plane cause of this.
