May 28, 201115 yr Hi I have a problem with my autobreaks after aborting a takeoff. Once I pull back the throttles, the Auto Breaks will not deploy and then I get the ABS disarm alert. I de-selected all joystick break axis but the problem still occurs.Kind regardsThomas

May 28, 201115 yr Author I haven`t had a landing yet, i am following the Angle of Attack training video and I am stuck at the high speed abort session :( Thomas
May 29, 201115 yr Thomas, possibly your throttle axis is still giving some reading even at fully idle? Recalibrate that axis, and if it is still an issue, try and increase the deadzone (aka nullzone) for the the throttle axis at the bottom end. Mark Adeane - NZWN
May 31, 201115 yr Author I checked and even disconnected the throttle but the same problem is still happening. I confirmed that no other axis is accidentally set to the throttle. The odd thing is that the speedbrakes deploy and stay deployed, only the autobreak is disconnecting... very oddThomas
May 31, 201115 yr Hmm, that's odd. I'm not aware of any other known cause of this behaviour, but then I've not experienced it firsthand. Anyone else care to chime in here, gang? Mark Adeane - NZWN
June 2, 201115 yr I haven't encoutered that particular problem but came across another problem with it after landing. The autobrake is set to the middle selection prior to landing along with the arming of the speed breakes. After landing reversers are put into operation, as the aircraft slows, the auto brake is turned off, throttles are returned to idle, and spoilers are lowered. All is well except I still am getting brakes on indication, not the parking brakes. The only way I found to release them, is to turn the autobrake switch to RTO Position. The aircraft stops dead in its tracks one has to add a lot of power in order to CLR the RWY!This has happened two flights in a row. Could there be an improper setting in the HYDRAULICS Panel? If I remember the second time, I saw someting to the effect of brakes within the the particular panel. Thanks!Alexander Scandrett
June 5, 201115 yr Author Thanks for the feedbacks gents, I did set the AutoBrakes to RTO before takeoff. I will reinstall the md11 and I hope that this might fix the problemThomas
