New User - several issues

Featured Replies

I have been flying the FSX version of iFly since before its official release, and am very familar with it. (FSX acceleration in Win7 64, i7965, NVIDIA GTX480, Creative SB x-Fi, 6g ram)I just purchased and installed the button version, and I am experiencing several issues.Upon Pre-Flight checklist, I am waiting until the F/O is complete (through stall test and an asterik appears next to the checklist in the left display). When I start and the oxy test it is over run by a call for altimeters to standard along with an PF acknowledgement. The rest of the checklist seems to complete fine. Then I run the departure brief, setting flaps one. My CDU pre-flight is complete by this time, including transition altitude and all take off speeds and thrust settings, complete flight plan including DEP and ARV, no DISC in legs, all INIT complete. Then, when I go through before start, at the CDU Preflight, PF (Me) acknowledges, but, I get a challenge from the FO "you might want to check that" (or similar), the checklist continues.Upon calling for engine start, packs are not turned off (I have to do it manually). Before taxi checklist will not set Flaps correctly. They are set to "1" in both the CDU and briefing. Always sets to "5". Then, at takeoff "cleared" I get another "altimeters STD call, followed by an immediate V speed call. No FO speed calls on actual TO.I am positive my CDU is completly programmed, incluing RWY winds, slope, cruise winds and ISA deviations, not to mention all of the rest . . .Thanks for any help.

Hi Joe,Please email at admin *at * fs2crew.comThe problem is the CDU is not being read.A couple other users experienced the same thing, and the challenge is to figure out why data from the FMC is not being read properly on your machine.I suspect maybe there is a missing file or something...We're going to have to work with the iFly developer on this one as he wrote the SDK, but since I can't reproduce it I'll need your assistance.Cheers,

The solution is: Do not resize the FS2Crew panels.A few other users reported this same issue, and, after much head scratching, we figured out that resizing the panel windows was triggering this behavior. In a future update, I'll be "locking" the panels so you can't resize them.Cheers,
