Hello Avsim......If you want to do yourself a favor, the flightsim community a favor and PMDG a favor........Please offer them a site that they can have their SU2 mirrored and end the long waits. It is really getting ugly by the moment a true fiasco at best. Please consider my suggestion......how long would it take....an hour or two once you get the MASTER file?????

Why would Avsim host a file on their dime that updates a payware product that they see no money for?Craig

I have to agree with Craig - they made their commercial bed. Now let them lie in it. Allcott

Rational business thinking; what a breath of fresh air. Besides, we weren't asked.... :) EDIT: and further, on my last flight KIAD to KCHO, Rob was the PIC on that miserable J-41 he calls an airplane and had a check pilot flying jump. I harrassed him so bad upon landing, that I think he is a bit miffed with me. :-lol (but the check pilot got a good laugh!).

How would we be doing AVSIM "a favor" by hosting their file?By hosting it, you would just have two organizations to take your wrath out on; us and PMDG, cause we would run into bandwidth issues too.

I think he deserved the ridicule, that Rob guy is some kind of arrogant.

>I think he deserved the ridicule, that Rob guy is some kind>of arrogant.I take issue with this comment. I have seen nothing sir that indicates that RSR is this way. I think you need to apologize for such an outrageous accusation.

I'm not apologizing, this is my opinion of the man. The way he has communicated with PMDG customers recently in their forum is abominable.

There was no ridiculing of Rob in this thread. The only problem the original poster had was having to wait for his download. He made no references to Rob's demeanor that I could see.Craig

Maybe you are upset because you think folks who purchase a payware product are entitled to acting like spioled children and developers should be *nice* to all their complaining and attacks? I have news for you, the PMDG forum is not for childish outburts because some folks have not got their downloads yet or for whatever reason, it's for support not ranting endlessly. Those posters acted like PMDG were twiddling their thumbs and doing nothing to fix the situation, have some respect FIRST if you desire get in return, you are not owed anything with a attitude like that. The business aspect is not up for discussion and frankly none of anyone's business..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpg

>I'm not apologizing, this is my opinion of the man. The>way he has communicated with PMDG customers recently in their>forum is abominable. The only people Robert has "communicated" with in this way clearly deserved it for the constant complaining and #### about an issue they know damn well PMDG is doing their best to try and solve. Robert has done more to keep his customers updated on the situation and in the loop than any payware developer I've ever seen. I for one am completely tired of these absurd and asinine accusations being leveled against people I KNOW (read - not opinion) to be great people and among the best FS developers out there. Believe me, we never would have made it through the development and beta testing for SU2 if it hadn't been for what a great group of people PMDG is. This vocal minority of people doing the incesant complaining here seem to be forgetting another thing - the people who did manage to get the file LOVE THE AIRPLANE!! You guys are ready to crucify PMDG over the download problems and in the process you've lost sight of the fact that this update marks a whole new level in simulating an airliner for FS. I don't see a single negative post in the forum right now that deals with the actual aircraft - those posts are all positive! Bottom line - the server problems aren't some conspiracy to mask a buggy product or to exclude people, it's an honest to goodness technical difficulty with the release that Robert has been FAR MORE than candid in letting the customer base know about. Please try to understand this and stop putting the team in impossible situations by complaining about everything.Ryan

Posts that make sense: The wave of the future!

This is nothing new, same thing happened with CS 727It's hard to avoid. When somthing so many people are waiting for gets released they usually get hammered real hard should be better in a few days

"The business aspect is not up for discussion and frankly none of anyone's business.."Yep, says it all.

>Yep, says it all. It says what exactly? A business absolutely should not be discussing its internal decisions on a public forum, especially with someone who comes out guns blazing with a diatribe against the company in every thread!Ryan
