This is nothing like CaptainSim - you don't see Robert calling customers traitors or taking preorders and then waiting 6 months to release do you??

Hmm, how about this idea? A new forum called "Whine and gripe" where people that feel they are being treated badly can post as much as they want... If nothing else that may channel their irritation and frustration. ;)In my experience posts such as the starting one in this thread are treated well. It

I think the key thing here is the people are just impatient. It is no fault of PMDG. They did warn before the update what their process would be and that it could take a week to settle down again.RegardsRussell Jourdain (NZL007/ZK-RHJ)P.S. I still haven't been able to download.

Lets get real........trying to do biz on only one NODE?????I wonder now if they wished they would have got it right the first time...like Dreamfleet does.....I paid $39.95 to be a a BETA tester and the testing period has now got to come to a end and the final build (SU2) should be releasd quickly.

You were a beta tester?? Whoa news to me. Come on now, you were never like this before man, do you become such a bitter guy over such small things? I really hope you get ythe download and you are happy, I really mean that too. It's not like PMDG are trying to torment you.. Good luck, seems like the server is going a bit once again..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpg

>I wonder now if they wished they would have got it right the first >time...like Dreamfleet does.....That's funny - how many patches did it take the DF737 to get to its final state again? I'm finding it very hard to think of a single top quality payware aircraft that hasn't required a patch - 767PIC, Flight1 Meridian, PSS etc all have had multiple patches. Don't try to get at PMDG now for the problems with version 1.0 of the NG - they took responsibility for that long ago and SU2 is the result of their commitment to bring it to its full potential.DF's last four products have been small general aviation aircraft - the Archer, Cardinal, 310, and 152. I love these airplanes and they are among the best payware planes out there - I'm not a programmer but I think I can say with certainty they are nowhere near as complex as the NG is. DF uses the default FS autopilot and the NG uses absolutely none of it, these planes don't have complex LCD displays that require very advanced math to draw them correctly etc. The only planes I own that I think come anywhere close to the NG in terms of how difficult they must have been to program are the Flight 1 Meridian, 767PIC, and the RealAir SF.260 for its flight modelling alone. The issue here is most definitely not the quality of the aircraft.Ryan

No, the issue is the amount of provider bandwidth being consumed to discuss a commercial developer which has its own forum.Frankly, none of this moaning or explaining, or counter-sniping is in the slightest bit interesting and I can't see why further forum time need be allocated to it. Can't we lock this thread and let the bleaters take it where it belongs?Allcott
