Flight 1 Dreamfleet Boeing 737-400

Featured Replies

Does anyone know when the Flight 1 Dreamfleet Boeing 737-400 for FS2004 is being released and does anyone have any information about it. (I know for a fact it IS coming out because it says that on their website.)

Oh boy !I don't know when it's going to be released - I only know I'll be the first to buy it !:-)Twister

Flight One/Dreamfleet traditionally does not speculate on release dates until they are just about finished with the project. The site you mention does estimate spring, 2004.I also am looking forward to it. Am presently useing the FFX merge, but have not been able to get total compatibility with fsuipc. With the dll installed, course settings, bank limits, nor autopilot heading control do not work correctly. With the dll removed, they all work fine with the exception of the course settings which are in 10 degree increments only.I was just about to purchase the PMDG 737, until I saw that the only way I could download it was with DAP, sales was offline at the time, and it is a bit pricy. They talked me out of the whole thing. On some sites DAP does not work for me for downloads(i.e. flightsim). So far, all that works everywhere (so far) has been Getright.Looking to the future:RTH

I don't have any info on release dates (of course), but I do know that they recently posted some screenshots of their upcomming 737-200 on their support forum, and it looks awesome!

You don't need DAP to download the PMDG 737NG. Plain old download works fine. They had some server problems but fixed now. Do yourself a favor and get this plane:)

DAP is just their recommended tool... others work fine, and many users are today reporting they downloaded it with NO manager at all and it went just fine. The PMDG site (and sales) should be back online at this point - take a look and give them a chance! Having flown both the DF737 and the 737NG, I must say the 737NG is a very polished package! (The latest update is now much more available... see their forums here at AVSIM)-Greg

Without starting another battle, I do not really rate the PMDG to be in the same class as the 2002 Dreamfleet. Its a matter of choice I know, but I bought the PMDG and in all honesty cannot say I use it at all. I am eagerly awaiting the Dreamfleet's Fs9 737-400, which should I hear be out around April 2004.

Dreamfleet has a 2002 Boeing? That plane is nothing but a patched 2000 plane with horrible external graphics and no taxi/landing lights. I bought the DF734 as my first add-on, however, the PMDG with this latest update blows the DF away by miles. Holding patterns, better sounds, CWS, failures, and a bunch of realistic features the DF never had! Other than a photo-realistic cockpit, the DF734 only gave you the AFAS (unnecessary) and a few other small things. The DF734 was second to the 767PIC in 2000/2002, but the bar has been raised substantially.Something tells me you haven't tried the PMDG with SU2. Don't get me wrong, I like Dreamfleet and their products. However, I've had a lot of problems with the DF734 (e.g., framerates, veering of course) that the PMDG never gives me. Don't limit yourself, try it with SU2. After all, you spent money for it.

This is a sore post to put one or the other down over *personal* opinions, DreamFleet's 737 is a *classic* not a NG and has pleased many folks and will continue to do so with it's FS9 update, I own it myself, but please give the My sim Vs your sim a rest would you? Randy, in all honesty I've had a lot of problems with the DF734, and I feel I'm entitled to voice my opinion, especially when I feel the person is selling themselves short by not trying the updated PMDG. If you'd rather I not express my opinion about the PMDG being my favorite add-on either, thus potentially adding customers to the list, then I guess I will serve everyone's interest and keep my opinions, good or bad, to myself.

Well to tell you the truth I was replying to RMCE's post but I think you will agree it's a better thing to not do this? I would not be honest here if I did not hold my convivtions even to the PMDG's supporters. Sure it's ok to feel or even to know certain facts etc I just want to give respect to all develpoers who make our flight simming more enjoyable. I mean no disrespect towards you over your statements.[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpg

Interesting?????the PMDG site states emphatically: "Please Note: For this file, you may ONLY use the download manager Download Accelerator Plus (DAP). Any other programs will be detected by our server as an attempted intrusion and disconnect you from your download."Sure would hate to pay big bucks for the thing, and then have it not let me download it. (No, I don't know whether you download first and then pay, or visa versa). Think I will wait for the new DF.Thanks for the reply:RTH >You don't need DAP to download the PMDG 737NG.
