For what it's worth I've flown (contentedly) at 10-12 fps with my old desktop. It was steady though, not too many stutters. SandyBridge fixed all that though...

Same here. I had low settings on my Core 2 and decided to skip FSX until my first gen i7 system. The JS41 just wasn't enjoyable sticking to desolate places like Nassau with low graphics settings. :(

My system is now 5 years old but that won't matter due to this question. So for FPS questions...you really want to know? I'm not telling you jokes if I say that I don't know it, 'cos I've never measured it up to now. FPS Limiter isn't installed as well. Might be worth a try, but a major thing for increased performance on old systems is to keep all the FSX automated ground stuff off, as Ryan alreay pointed out.best regards,toby
