July 24, 201114 yr Hi allI had a question about the speedbrake handle sound, i just saw a beutiful youtube vid of a Boeing 737-800 of KLM (i have the link of the movie below)so that you all understand my question. My question is this when i saw the 737-800 land at Athens, as soon as it thouched down the speedbrake made a sound, i'ts a small detail but i like it :( so is that also implemented into the PMDG NGX? If not i hope you enjoyed the video. Cheers Jeffrey Jeffrey.O 777-300ER KLM

July 24, 201114 yr When do the displays in the MCP blink on and off like in the beginning of the vid guys? is it when you switch off the A/P or something?
July 24, 201114 yr When do the displays in the MCP blink on and off like in the beginning of the vid guys? is it when you switch off the A/P or something? When you select a lights test, all associated panel lights will illuminate, that way if there are any burnt-out bulbs, you'll be able to spot them.
July 24, 201114 yr When do the displays in the MCP blink on and off like in the beginning of the vid guys? is it when you switch off the A/P or something?Probably that has something to do with the camera, because it only happens when the camera focus on the outside. I don't know the name or what couses this effect, but do you know when you film a display and it appears to be blinking? Maybe it's the same effect. Matheus Mafra
July 24, 201114 yr When do the displays in the MCP blink on and off like in the beginning of the vid guys? is it when you switch off the A/P or something? That flicker is due to the camera settings.Tero PPL(A)
July 24, 201114 yr Its has to do with the shutter speed and the flicker rate of the digital readouts on the MCP. If the camera shutter speed matched the MCP and was synced you would not see this. Cool video nonetheless. July 24, 201114 yr It happens when the shutter speed of the camera is faster than the refresh rate of the displays. You can see the same effect when a high speed digital video camera shoots a rotating propeller. It can cause the prop blades to appear to be rotating backwards, or even to be standing still.Jim Barrett Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. July 24, 201114 yr yep, that makes sense. The captain's chronometer is blinking too, so it must be the camera. Thanks everyone
