How about a FAQ

Featured Replies

I was thinking that perhaps we should have a FAQ so users stop asking the same questions.1. What is WL? Winglets2. Will the NGX run on fs2004?No3. Any plans for fs2004?No4. What system specs will I need to run the NGX?If you can run the MD11/JS41 you should be fine5. What liveries? PMDG 737NGX Livery Availability6. When will it be released?"Soon" defined....7. How Much?PMDG 737NGX Pricing and Availability8. Shared cockpit? Not in the initial release. Perhaps in a future service pack9. Will there be a boxed verson, if so, when?Yes, will be by Aerosoft, however not until a few months after release.

I would also suggest:Upcoming PMDG products: 777, -8, and the 2 suprise projects. (So people can see what the PMDG plan is)Failure modes: VERY brief description of failures simulated in the PMDG aircraft. (Hopefully well reduce the amount of questions as to what failures are simulated. Possibly a pragraph on what failures are not simulated)Support: Link the support website for purchases and tehnical problems associated with install of PMDG softwareGeneral Post guidelines:

Sorry mate but its idiots like you that make the quality of the forum ######. If you dont want to contribute and HELP others, the buzz off and do something else.Clearly you have nothing to contribute so go do something else.

Brent Lewis

I'd disagree. Instead of answering the most frequent questions over and over, either the person with a question could go to the FAQ or a helpful people could refer them to the FAQ.Saying "it's meaningless" with no reason why, and no suggestion is also useless.

Regardless of there being a FAQ, you will allways have people who will ignore the faq and ask the question anyway.Though I have to say: I'm in for FAQ's!

10. Will it have a 2D cockpit and a 3D virtual cockpit? Yes, it will have a 2D cockpit and a 3D cockpit.

11. Do we have to sign our posts? :)If people start asking the same questions over and over again there really ought to be FAQs pinned in the NGX forum once it's online. Some people don't bother searching the forums for previously answered questions, and for those that do, it's often quite hard to know what keywords you need to be using to actually find relevant threads. Some forums are really uptight about that... a now-defunct freeware developer's forums that I used to visit back when I was pretending like I could learn repainting would stop just short of hunting you down and kicking your dog if you asked something that was answered in some obscure thread in the furthest reaches of their archives. Here they actually have some sense of customer service so that doesn't really happen, but if people start asking lots of the same questions it will probably waste lots of Ryan's time.
