July 27, 201114 yr I would like to congratulate you on a great product that is really enhancing my enjoyment when flying the new iFLY737. However, I have one problem that is becoming increasingly irritating. The pilot's volume is quite a lot quieter than the FA, in fact the FA screeches out at the top of her voice when she arrives at the cabin door! Is there a way of decreasing the volume of the FA? Also, unless it's my imagination, but the volume of the pilot seems to decrease compared with the FO as the flight continues. July 28, 201114 yr Author I guess what I'm asking... is there a way of chaging the volume of certain commands in the cfg/dll file? July 29, 201114 yr Commercial Member What's your master volume set to? Use these settings: 1. Windows volume slider: full 2. Speaker volume (knob on speakers)... medium level (what you'd set it to if watching a movie) 3. FS2Crew volume knob on the FS2Crew Main panel.... set to the 9 o'clock position. Try that. Cheers, B. July 29, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the reply Bryan but that will merely adjust all the sounds to the same level. The problem I seem to have is a variation of those sounds within FS2Crew. The FA is a lot louder than the pilot, if I turn down the volume for the FA then I simply lower the volume on everything else. July 30, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi, By FA, do you mean the FA Cabin Announcements (like the safety Brief)? They have their own independent volume control via the CAB button/knob. Maybe you have it set to full blast? Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
July 30, 201114 yr Author Hi Bryan, sure I undrestand what you're saying. The problem I have is with the flight attendant when she replies to orders from the captain. Her volume is altered with the same control as the pilot and so it is not possible to change her volume independently. I have a feeling I know the answer to this... August 1, 201114 yr Commercial Member There's no independent volume control for the FA when she's talking to the Captain. Without being at your computer it's hard to gauge any of this, but how much louder is it? On my system, the FA the Flight Crew volume sound 'even'. B. August 1, 201114 yr Author OK Bryan, thanks. It may well be that my speakers are a little sharper and maybe accentuate her voice. She really does screech at the pilot!! OK, I hear what you're saying, is there nothing in any of the sound cfg files or such that I can change? August 1, 201114 yr Commercial Member Nothing you could change on your end. It could be your speaker setup somehow. Do your speakers have independent volume control? FS2Crew does use 3D sound. During pre-flight, if you have speakers behind you, it should sound like she's standing behind you. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
August 1, 201114 yr Author OK, thanks a bunch Bryan. it may be that if I play with the channels I may get some success. Thanks for your help.
