A good I5 2500k Motherboard?

Featured Replies

I have been looking at the I5 2500k CPU but don't know what the best motherboard is for this CPU. I have been looking at the Asus range of boards, specifically the "P8P67", but can't decide whether to get the Pro version etc. Can anyone help. Nathan Green

Well I just got the ASRock Z68 Extreme 4 and have been very pleased with it. Made the decision to go with this board after it was recommended on Toms Hardware.

Depends on your needs. SLI? tons of SATA ports? SSD cache? Tri-SLI? ATX or uATX? It all comes down to the features that you need or want

I ordered the PRO version along with a 2600K. I couldn't wait any longer! The reason I chose this board is because the layout allows for two gtx 480 in SLI, my RevoDrive, and Creative Soundcard perfectly. Plus, it happens to be one of the best SB boards money can buy. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131730 It should be here next week. I can't wait to see the results. Jose

+1. That's a great board and the price is good too. Nathan, other options would be: Asus P8Z68-V,Asus P8P67-Pro,MSI P67 GD55,MSI P67A GD65,MSI Z68 GD65,ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional,ASRock P67 Extreme6,ASRock Z68 Extreme4,ASRock P67 Extreme4,Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4,Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4

I´ve got the Asus P8P67 Pro and it´s doing its job very well. Easy oc on 4.6 without any problems. Get it, you won´t regret. Btw. thanks Dario and all others who advised me to take this one.

Best regards, Steffen
