July 29, 201114 yr Hey avsim,I was wondering if FSX was compatible with the XBox 360.towerdude towerdude
July 29, 201114 yr Author Well, why does it say on the back of the case that it's compatible with the xbox 360? towerdude
July 29, 201114 yr Hi, Because I have paper disk envelopes I can't check mine, but might it say that FSX is compatible with the XBox 360 controller? Because that would be true.
July 29, 201114 yr Author Hmmm. I thought you could put the disk into the xbox and maybe it would install. I don't have one so, I don't know how it works. towerdude

July 29, 201114 yr Author it says that it's compatible with it, but that doesn't make sence. towerdude
July 29, 201114 yr Can you type out the whole few sentences for me, word for word, as they appear on the case?
July 29, 201114 yr I still have my FSX Deluxe Edition box and I can't see Xbox mentioned anywhere on it. (Australian, New Zealand release) Jay Vorkapic
July 29, 201114 yr There is nothing on the container for my FSX disks that mentions Xbox. Microsoft FSX is a Windows application, and I don't think an Xbox has a Windows operating system. Funny, I just read a PC World article listing all the great games that were available only for a PC and could not be played on a game console. FSX was one of them. Art
July 29, 201114 yr Hi, Yes, exactly as I said. You can unplug the controller from your X Box, hook the controller (some know it as the game pad) up to your COMPUTER, install FSX on your COMPUTER and use the game pad to fly your plane. Now, if you don't have an X Box, and you don't have an X Box controller, then none of this makes a hill of beans difference and I am lucky that all I was doing is waiting for my FSX to load itself so I can make a flight!!
July 29, 201114 yr Commercial Member A controller isn't the same as an XBox. In fact, I remember the Microsoft guys showing off flying a plane with an XBox controller hooked up to a PC back when FSX was new. Can't imagine why you'd want to use one for that, but it's technically possible. Only when you plug that controller into a PC, of course. July 29, 201114 yr Author I was kinda hoping that it would help the problems I've been having ever since I downloaded some large files. It skips, and it crashes on me whenever I try to open a new window in the game. FSX Hasn't co-operated with me for a while. towerdude
