Hi all, after seeing the previews for the 737NGX I have decided I want to jump over to FSX purely for this aircraft. I will basically be pretending to be a Ryanair pilot so would like some advice on the best traffic package, ATC package (only ever used Radar Contact) and weather package if possible. Do I need anything other than the vanilla FSX also? Thanks!

I don't have a traffic or ATC package but I have purchased ASE (Active Sky Evolution) which I am very happy with. Also, you may want to consider REX2 to give you great Sky, Water and Clouds. ASE and REX2 work very well together. REX2 has its own weather package but I think ASE provides the best weather.

Traffic - Ultimate Traffic 2 supposedlyATC - Radar Contact 4 for offline, I prefer online flying on VATSIM, though you mainly have airport coverage, not enrouteThen I'd recommend UTX regions, ASE, GEX and REX2.

Do I need anything other than the vanilla FSX also? Thanks!
You will need to install SP1 and SP2 (or Acceleration) if your FSX version does not come with it.

Thanks guys, would you recommend UT2 over Traffic X? I've read reviews on both and am stuck with which one to go for.

torkermax, I bought FSX when it first came out. I never wanted to make the jump because a) I thought my PC wouldn't be up to it and :( I had so much payware for FS2004 it felt criminal to leave it all behind. I've just tried my UK2000 Liverpool xtreme scenery with all FSX settings on around 3/4 and it runs with steady frame rates. I'm pleased!!
