In the next few weeks i'm going to upgrade my rig as well I have i7 920 OC 4.0 + 480GTX and 12 gigs of DDR31600 looking for 2600K OC to 4.8 + 580 GTX 3GB + 8 GB DDR 1600 or 1800+ I hope to see some preformance increase ??? Thanks Evan Banalian.

You'll be happy with it. I came from an i7 960. Though to make the upgrade $100 cheaper I'd get the 2500k instead, in retrospect.

Ok. I will stick with the 580 but will downgrade to 1600. I won't intend to overclock the CPU anytime soon.

Sony is "better looking?" but that is not a big issue for me.Are those waste for FSX & NGX in terms of processors and hardware in particular? Should I go for i7 QM processor? Whats QM?

Not really. The CPU is a good dual core... for a laptop, but the GT520M GPU is lacking for gaming

GT540M? GTX560M? That is lacking too?

...and looking at it's specs, a GTX540M may be enough for a 15'' laptop at 1366x768
