December 22, 200322 yr Thank you for fantastic night textuers Chris![h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpg Randy J Smith
December 22, 200322 yr They look brilliant Chris ...BUT eversince I've installed them, I get lockups. I have not changed anything else.Should render to texture be on? (Because mine is off for the clouds). Just did a flight from EDDF to EGLL and around SPI it locked up and kick you right out of FS without any warning. I went back and changed the plane from PMDG 737NG to PSS A320 and
December 22, 200322 yr I was wondering if it would be possible to just install the textures for the United Kingdom only?Any ideas from the author or anyone else?
December 22, 200322 yr Hey thanks for the posts guys! You're all very welcome! :)LOCK UPS:I can't think of a reason in the world that this might be happening. This is most likely a code issue, and is possibly related to one of the panels in the two aircraft you've mentioned. Some of the add-on panels are very complex. These things can pop up unexpectedly, because everyone's system is so different. The render to texture option does not need to be on.Please keep me posted on any additional findings.
December 22, 200322 yr "United Kingdom only?..."You know, I had a list that I was working from during production, but I've since done away with it. :( There are 218 textures and it takes some doing to go back in and sort all of that out. Sorry I can't help more on this.Don't you care for the US textures? :) They're accurate, I promise.
December 22, 200322 yr ChrisI only found out about your enivironment upgrade textures for FS2002 last week when i was trawling through the forums and my oh my what a difference to my default scenery.I have downloaded your FSNight textures and was wondering if they would work if i installed them in FS2002.TomScotland
December 22, 200322 yr TI just flew your route but using the default B737(The only one I have) with no problem at all.Passed SPI at 28000ft without any incident.Setting same as yours- Dusk/Fall . Fabulous lights now..........Dave
December 22, 200322 yr Thanks everyone, and you are welcome! :)Tom wrote:I have downloaded your FSNight textures and was wondering if they would work if i installed them in FS2002.I've been getting this question a-lot. I'm sorry, but they are not at all compatible with FS 2002. :(
December 23, 200322 yr Hi ChrisThanks for answering my query. I downloaded them and then backed up my fs2002 scenedbworldtextures folder installed them and ran the install then FS2002 itself. There is a marked difference in the way cities are displayed ie look a lot brighter but once you fly away from the city its virtually pitch black. This is in no way a criticism just some words of experience for other FS2002 users out there. Im sure that in FS2004 they work brilliantly and ive read the many testimonies to that in the last day or so. So thanx Chris for all your hard work and keep it up, until i get the money to upgrade my pc ill be flying FS2002 and will unfortunately be unable to enjoy the full benefits of all your efforts.TomScotland
December 23, 200322 yr Hi Tom,Research for FS2Night began nearly a year ago. The actual production started in August. The tiles in FS 2002 are completely different from those in FS 2004. I would have had to have done the entire project twice to produce a version that was compatible with FS 2002. I'm very sorry you can't enjoy FS2Night now, but it will be there waiting for you when you are ready. :)
December 23, 200322 yr Has anyone compared these to the FSW textures that were offered a couple of weeks ago? I've been enjoying them, would like to have some opionions before I download and install these instead....Thanks,Joel

Thye both have their pluses and minuses and I could write a Ph.D. thesis on the subject.Michael J.http://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg Michael J.
