August 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member Save the default flight with engines. The attribute is inherited by the next aircraft you select. (But do try to follow 6 very simple steps : APU ON, APU GENS ON, APU bleed ON, packs off, starter to GRD, 25% N2 fuel ON, repeat for other side....END) After 3 times you 'll do it mechanically without even thinking and greatly enhance your experience. ==================================== E M V Precision Manuals Development Group ====================================
August 5, 201114 yr Author Well, i try and try. I get the engines up to 3.0. Pushing my throttle a little forward but nothing still happens. Trying every button on the screen to get itup, nothing. I think i am about to give up. Sorry, i have learned alot of fsx and can alot about the planes. But the engine startup is something i have missed, simplebecause i have limited time. On every other addon i can just push ctrl+e to start the damn engines, lol. But not here. I wish i had the time to read and learn everythingbut i simple can't. I guess i am going back to ifly. There i at least can fly the damn plane, lol:)
August 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member Try again. Fuel levers to IDLE (that is UP) at say 25%. Two little levers behind the throttle... ==================================== E M V Precision Manuals Development Group ====================================
August 5, 201114 yr Read... the... frickin.. manual. You have time to complain on here, you have time to read the manuals then. David Garrison
August 5, 201114 yr Author Well, i have readed the manual. I am following the procedure, but it aint starting. I guess its a bug.
August 5, 201114 yr 100% Agree with David above me. If you refuse to read the manual it isn't our/PMDG's problem and then you shouldn't complain here. I think the team has better things to do right now then helping you with starting engines.. You can also watch a Youtube video about a engine start on the 737, even the old PMDG 737 will do it. Not want to be rude, but please..
August 5, 201114 yr Pushing my throttle a little forward but nothing still happens. You don't move your throttle forward, you have to move the cutoff levers behind the throttles. Check out page 351 of FCOM 2.

I guess itsa bug, and maybe there will be a fix soon.
August 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member No it is not a bug. You simply do not know how to start the engines....Follow instructions to the letter please. ==================================== E M V Precision Manuals Development Group ====================================

I guess itsa bug, and maybe there will be a fix soon.If you tried to push your throttles forward to start the engines (Which you mentioned earlier), you aren't following procedures correctly. As I said, look at page 351 of FCOM2. That will show you were the cutoff levers are. Those are what you need to move to get the engines started, not your throttle.
August 5, 201114 yr Author Why did i turn off the engines? Why? What was i thinking? :) Ok folks, i will retry. I guess i am just very stupidstarting engines. I will use my day tommorow so maybe i can get up in the air again:) chaos81 i will try that againtommorow,i promise. Thanks for all trying to help:)
August 5, 201114 yr Is this not more about an option missing from the FMC that should, according to the manual, be there ie a "Ready to Go" option?

That was my problem. I did that and know everything is working. I own you a beer:) It was simple the cutoff i didnt set. Stupid me:) But thankyou!:)

August 5, 201114 yr To the OP, it's quite a complex aircraft, and while PMDG tried their best, they also had to accomodate the larger base of us simmers, who want a closest to real experience. So unfortunately for you, you'd have to go through startup procedures.
