No engine start

Featured Replies

First after i downloaded it, it worked fine. Engine was up and running. I landed, testet some, then i shot down the engines(ctrl+shift+f1) and went fora sleep. Then, starting up today i fine that the engine is OFF. I grab the fmc and use the startup states short, both on panel and onthe startup state menu. It doesnt work. Then i try to start the engines with a CTRL+E. Nothing working. I try to goto the window panel, choicingaddon-pmdg737, and set states to Before taxing. Nothing happens. I reinstalled it. Installed it, but its the same problem, on all of the planes. I use vista 32. Not the best pc spec. I do have ifly whick works fine. No problemothere, so this is a pmdg 737 problem. Any who can help me? Greetings from Tom Kristoffersen.

I don't think standard Ctrl-E will work, you will need to do startup procedure, check the tutorial for this. As a quick note, make sure your packs are OFF during engine start and APU is on and supplying air and power

No, I do not believe so.

Thanks,

No, but you can do it in the FMC. The options are: Cold and Dark (nothing on)Short Turn (this means the engines are powered off but most electrical systems ON)Long Turn (engines are powered off and few systems on)Ready for takeoff (this is the option you're looking for)

Nope! Unlike other addon planes this one requires a tad more of its user... ;)Take a peek through the NGX Introduction and do the Tutorial and you will have your feet wet. Hope it helps,

Hehe, yeah. It not this kind of aircraft: CTRL+S = Engine StartCTRL+T = Taxiing and TakeoffCTRL+C = CruiseCTRL+L = LandingCTRL+P = Taxiing and Parking If you want that the default 737 will suffice. wink.png

Well, i am trying this, but reading like 200 pages just to start the plane...well, i dont have that time. I have been reading now trying to find aa - b procedure to startup this damn plane, but its difficult to find exatcly where i should begin. Any other addons let you start the planewithout thinking of this, and i am not spending my life to find out how to start the damn engines!!!! Is'nt there a simple a-b-c-d instructions for this? Frustated,argh....i only want to plane, not focus on the damn engines!!!

That's the fun part you are skipping... Within the CDU (as somebody has already said), you can configure the plane to be ready for flight; but if you don't mind me saying, you are missing out on the whole PMDG experience, give it a try you might like it!

Just load the plane from free flight and press fly now. Then do whatever you want to do. Why bother with engines off when you do not want to start them ?

Sorry if I appear rude, but if you don't want to spend time learning some systems, then why buy the NGX? You might as well have downloaded Freeskyproject's 737s: they're free

The engines are off when i start the fsx. Thats the problem i am having. I can't configure it so that they are on.

Agree. No option for Ready for Take Off in FMC.

Hmmm... That does not sound normal. What is your default flight in FSX? Hope it helps,
