August 6, 201114 yr Hiya, Going through a startup from cold and dark. Got the APU up and running and entered flightplan, but the CDU isn't showing any figures for payload or fuel (it shows all the other text and I can press 2/3 full or whatever and there's a slight bump as the load changes). Fuel quantity changes on the upper DU. And now when I go back to the menu page of the CDU there's no longer an FMC option.Where am I going wrong? Ed Moore http://www.edmooredop.com
August 6, 201114 yr Commercial Member Ed- I'm not entirely certain what you are describing. Are you saying that the fuel figures on the FMS fuel option page do not change even when you change the fuel level? Robert S. August 6, 201114 yr I think he is saying that after editing the fuel he cannot enter the fuel menu again in the FMC Regards, Harm Swinkels
August 6, 201114 yr Author On the fuel and payload pages, although the descriptions were all there (i.e. the text that says FWD CARGO, PASSENGERS or the quick options like RANDOM etc etc), no values appeared at all, even though the aircraft was acting as though any changes were taking place (e.g. the fuel quantity on the upper DU would reflect what I pressed). It seems to have been a bug as I've reset the flight and done what I think was the same procedure again with no issues. Ed Moore http://www.edmooredop.com
August 6, 201114 yr I have had this happen as well. Basically, there is no place to enter things like fuel load and payload. Many previous places were numbers could be entered like normal are gone or numbers cannot be entered. Then if you go to other pages, some of them are black, like the the doors page, Numbers don't show up in the scratchpad, and if a message is in the scratchpad, it can't be cleared. Maybe part of this general panel problem some people are having. Sound about right, Ed? i7 3770K HT, 8GB RAM, nVidia 980GTX, Win7, P3D 3.4, FSG mesh, UTX, GEX, ST, ASA16/ASCA, NickN optimized
August 6, 201114 yr Author Sound about right, Ed? Yep that's it. Hasn't come up again since though. Definitely remember not being able to clear the scratchpad. Ed Moore http://www.edmooredop.com
