Hi, just something to check. If done, apologies.In the intro. docs you followed; did you place the HIMEMFIX=1 in your FSX.CFG? If you entered it as per docs, there was a typo. Should be HIGHMEMFIX=1. If you had already done this previously, OK. Again the reason for ensuring you have the default flight in the cfg, is we found during testing, if someone saved a different default flight, it could/would sometimes conflict with the NGX loading. Going into the cfg file and removing all entries after Situation= resolved those freezes. Also, if you reset your CFG again, if you had a default flight you used, this time don't check the use as default flight checkbox. If using FSUIPC Autosave, don't load any flights from those. I found when I did that, my NGX would freeze and lock up everytime. Has something to do with resources used on how FSUIPC loads the aurosave, and how the NGX needs to initilize. Just load the NGX from your freeflight screen. Also, have you tried different varients. IE is this just happening on the 800,900 wingleted or non wingleted? Re; your add=ons. To make sure none are conflicting, if possible disable loading them 1 at a time, to see if that affects the NGX loading. Also, when you installed the NGX, did you also rerun the EZDOC config utility. During testing, I forgot to do this; one time I had a freeze, but mostly I had a strange spot view of aircraft..ie most not showing. These are just some of the things I remeber from the testing phase that resolved issues. SO to recap: 1. Consider, re-installing the NGX, making sure you have your antivirus stuff disabled for the install. Also, run the installer in Admin mode. IE rt click the NGX.exe install file and select run as administrator.2. Consider, once again deleting your fsx.cfg file. Save your existing one first. Start FSX, then shut down. Don't select anything. Load your FSX.CFG, edit the HIGHMEMFIX=1, and texture MAx Load=4096 per the intro docs.3. Restart FSX(as admin) without any add-ons(ie; active sky, ult traffic etc) just trying to get a basic default FSX load.4. Load a varient of the NGX from the free-flight screen, should get the activate stuff etc. Then the accept dll stuff. See if will load properly now. Also, if you have FSUIPC autosave turned on, turn that off, at least for now..so you can make sure it is not conflicting.5. If yyou have not already done so, please submit a ticket to the tech support folks. They see them faster than the forum. Hopefully, this will get you going. I was just a Tech advisor for the NG, I'm not a Dev dude. These are just some procedures we did when we experienced you issues. I know these guys are a dedicated bunch( albiet exhausted right now); they will get you up and running. As a real world 737-NG pilot...this is an amazingly simulated aircraft and systems. I know once you get up and running, you'll feel the same way most likely. :-) Finally, I hope you take this as a simple attempt to help out. I know we have a lot of the basics to try, but sometimes they help. I hope you don't feel patronized in a way you felt I'm talking down to you, in that I feel you don't kbnow anything about computers or FSX. That is not the case at all. Thanks Dave for your advise, but still freezes up. This time I let it sit there for 6:30 minutes and it would finally start. I tried this twice and both times it would take 6 and half minutes to unfreeze itself and intialize PMDG system count down. Why is this taking so long? Like I mentioned before, The scenery and plane would load up just fine.

anyone else know why it takes 6 minutes to unfreeze?
