Right. The architecture in a Core 2 is much more efficient clock for clock and watt for watt than your Pentium M. I hope you understand that. It's hard to make a product in 2011 for a processor introduced in 2004.

Man, its a LAPTOP. Not only that but its a laptop with a dated CPU and a hopeless mobile GPU. I have an i5 laptop and I wouldn't even dream of loading FSX on it nevermind adding on the NGX. Methinks you are expecting WAY too much! About Centrino, to be fair, my old laptop was branded as Centrino but was still equipped with a Core 2 Duo CPU. He might have the same. Still not good enough though.

I feel for ya man...it doesn't help when people don't really offer advice and just yell at your specs...hehe. I don't post mine because I'm sure I'd get a rough ride too from some folk. Trying a overclock may work...but laptops run so bloody hot I wouldn't risk it. What OS are you using? Is it an x86 or 64 bit dealio? It is true though that poor CPU is probably the bottleneck in it all. Keep an eye on what services/processes are running. Laptops are bad for having weird manufacture-based programs running...Like useless power saver things...On Screen Display processes...HP is bad for it's random fake media centre apps...etc. I know the PMDG intro states not to mess with your services/processes...but I've always made it habit on my old FSX compu (a Toshiba A70) to close iTunes processes, Bonjour...google update...Java Updater.... Read up on it a bit on google and see if you can gleam some greater processing headroom from your computer.
