August 7, 201114 yr My max flight altitude on the NGX is never much higher then fl370. Even not when I fly with low fuel and no passengers/cargo. I think that this could be at least fl400 (after watching some youtube NGX movies). Any ideas about this? Martin Pampiermole

August 7, 201114 yr Author It's based on what the CDU tells me on the cruise page. No, did not set that pressurisation because the cdu told me not to get higher. I'll give it a try. Martin Pampiermole
August 7, 201114 yr Try this. Load the 800 WL on runway 25R at KLAX. Set fuel at 12,500 pounds, and set the loading to empty. Flight plan VTU5.RZS.J501.BSR.BSR2 to KSFO. Then fill in your PERF INIT page and see what cruise altitude it recommends. I get FL410.
August 7, 201114 yr Maybe the weather (OAT) isn't realistic. The temps should be -40ish up at FL370. You can go higher than the FMC OPT/MAX on the CRZ says, but not a very good idea. Pressurization has no effect on this item, I believe. Matt Cee

August 10, 201114 yr Author I noticed that on American flights I do get FL410 on a flight from kord to klax. On my European flights, like eham-lgav or lebl-eham, I only got FL370 or so. I've flown eurpean flight for days. Now it's the first American flight. On both continents I had the same fuel settings and Pax load. Isn't that weird? Martin Pampiermole
