August 7, 201114 yr Hi, I reinstalled my computer and now am missing this file.I tried to follow the description in the sticky thread about this, but I do not have the file in my \windows\syswow64 directory (running win7 64), and the link to where it should be downloadable from does not work anymore. "The page you are looking for is no longer available or has been moved." Help please, Helge Rasmussen
August 7, 201114 yr There is a legitimate copy here. From my installation on XP original installation:07/14/2000 23:00 PM 118,784 msstdfmt.dll From the zip file downloaded from the link below:04/03/2000 22:05 PM 118,784 msstdfmt.dll The file size is identical so it should be safe to install. Here is the link I found:http://www.dll-files...hp?dll=msstdfmt I extracted it and scanned it with AVG and it was found to be clean. just download the dll and extract it to a temporary folder. You don't need the fixer utility. Copy the extracted msstdfmt.dll to the correct system folder and follow the instructions in the pinned topic to register it. msstdfmt.dll was excluded from all Win installations after Win XP but checking on the MS technet site shows it is compatible through Win 7.
August 7, 201114 yr Author lol that page was filled with links I certainly didn't want to click on, but I finally found the little one that lead to the dll :) It works. thanks for the help! Helge Helge Rasmussen
