Give it a try. If OC causes corruption it means that it's very unstable (actually you wouldn't be able to run windows).

August 7, 201114 yr Guys i didnt say that you should not overclock your pc. i said that you can overclock your pc after pmdg 737ngx installation. Uygar, there are two types of overclocking: stable and unstable. Stable OC will not cause any problems, that's why we call it stable, PC acts just like stock but faster. Unstable OC affects all overclocked components causing BSoDs, CTDs, corruption in files etc. Cheers,

I allways do that, allways...., when installing something, OS, graphics driver, FSX, scenery or aircraft, i allways set my OC back to default speed in bios, after finished installing, i put back my OC. After i have start using this method, i almost done with errors in FSX.
