A bit of an urgent problem....

I have a beeping sound in the cockpit and it is all configured properly and am climbing through Fl200 for Fl330 over FIMP. I have an annoying beeping sound with no warnings, so I refer to the QRH, how do I go to a certain page? 7.1, what is that! Do I times them, do I add them to get the page number?

Check your doors are closed, its probably an ALT WARN or something like that. There is also some ALT HORN CUTOUT button somewhere..

Haha, those are closed, cross-checked before P/S. My cabin pressurerization said AUTO FAIL so I sorted that out but please explain how I use the QRH and how to find the pages when they only give you 5.3 next to the thing you're looking for.

take off config warning / altitude warning -> thats what you have to look for did you forget to set the packs on AUTO after you start the engines?

The page numbers are on the top and bottom of each page. I just use the scroll bar in adobe reader and scroll until I get close the page number I want, then it's easy enough to find.

Never used a book before, have you? laugh.png Those numbers are called "Chapters". They bring structure to a book by splitting it up into related topics and use consecutive numbers that are indicated on the pages, just like page numbers. wink.png

:d I have numpty, just not used to that structure of 10.1, only figured it out after staring at it for a long time :) but you didn't get my point on where each chapter start so if you need, for example, APU failure, it says APU FAILURE 10.9 (Page 543), then all you can do is enter 543 in the page number and your there :)

Gotcha. Yeah, those chapters numbers would be easier to handle with a physical book, that's true, but when you just hold down the Page Down key and keep an eye on the chapter number in the top right you are there in no time as well. That way it takes about 4 seconds to reach chapter 7.1, for example.
