Are you talking about the green bar across the top screen? I think several items may be out of date. First, the current build of RC is 4.3845. Next you need to update FSUIPC per the pinned topic. These versions provide a blue semi transparent window for RC with menu and status areas. Next, in your modules folder if advdispl.dll (?) is present change the extension to .dlh to disable it. For RC it is no longer used. For best performance in RC the option Display Text should be off.

Ron,Thanks for your reply. 1-Yes I have current version 4.3.3845 and FSUIPC 4.703 version 2- I think it is " Radar Contact Display" not "Adv Display" 3- After I load the RC and click STAR., momentarily RCDisply appears and disappears. I can still push 1 at keyboard to contact ATC. 4- How can I get RCDisply back.?

rc doesn't use advdisplay.dll anymore rc uses fsuipc to display the menu, in a fsuipc window make sure your fsuipc options are set correctly, especially the ones outlined in the quick start section of the manual www.jdtllc.com/v4/rcv43.pdf

JD,Thank you very much. I forgot to check "multiline display window", That was the problem. Now I have the" Radar Display".

Hi. I'm a bit slow in getting here, but for any other reader who may come this way, I've found other applications that use FSUIPC's menu box can close the menu box. The RC key commands are still available but occasionally it's necessary to choose the correct keystroke from memory. I have Air Hauler in mind. It will use the FSUIPC message box to display a 'You are now en route...' message shortly after takeoff. The message disappears after a few seconds so suppressing the display of such RC options as 'Report position' or 'Contact XXX controller'. The options are still available and RC's menus reappear with the next change of situation. I know this is not what you meant but felt it worth mentioning just for the sake of passing the information along. Kind regards,D

I have the following command added to the general section of fsuipc.ini. It might help in case other apps close the RC window. This is set to use ctrl-x to toggle the window off and on. Any RC functions will toggle it on as required. Make a safe backup of fsuipc.ini in a folder outside of FS before editing. Here's the line to add:AdvDisplayHotKey=88,10and that works for the new fsuipc window. If you need another key combo in the fsuipc tab buttons and assignments you'll find in additional functions something like toggle advanced display on and off (or hide . . .). It is still called advanced display even though advdisplay.dll is no longer used.
