August 11, 201114 yr Hi Guys, Really enjoying the new NGX and have lashed out on some new orbx scenery. Anyway, as the title states I am using three monitors, however, the left and right monitors have a slightly distorted view. Seems like the scenery and the panel on left and right are stretched a bit. I would love to be able view all monitors in the same detail as my center monitor. Would this have something to do with the Vertical sync fix (I don't have it applied) and are there any other members or PMDG staff that have any ideas or advice to offer in this regard? Do those who have a multi monitor set-up experience similiar issue? Many Thanks in Advance. NicholasB
August 11, 201114 yr What are you using to power the three monitors. Are you using eyefinity, matrix. If you have just stretched the image it is probably quite normal, I tried to stretch it once and got some distortion. Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society. August 11, 201114 yr Author Hi Andrew, I am using the AMD ATI HD 6900 eyefinity series video card to drive my monitors. The resolution is 5860 x 1080. I did not stretch the image, but it still does appear distorted on the left and right monitor. Hope this helps.Nicholas Boskovic
August 12, 201114 yr I don't own any Radeon cards nor have I ever. I would recommend a driver update though and see if that helps. You could try vsync but in my experience I doubt it would work but, it could. Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society. You will see that it occurs on every game that runs over multiple screens, nothing i have found works to correct it. FS is affected with the widefs function, but unfortunately you need that enabled to get it to work! Ian R Tyldesley
August 13, 201114 yr Author Thanks for your reply Ian, I guess this is just a fact of life we multiple moniter users have to live with! Best Regards, Nicholas Boskovic
August 13, 201114 yr I have used both Eyefinity and Nvidia surround, and found that the distortion at the edges of the view varies with the level of zoom you have FS set to. The wider angle you set to, the more severe the distortion. I have found that by keeping my zoom set to somewhere around 0.9-1.0, I get minimal distortion. TrackIR makes this alot easier, because you can look around more easily, even with the narrower field of view. I haven't found anything that can be used to change the distortion at wider view settings, as of yet.
