Help! NGX does not follow LNAV

Featured Replies

Using the included tutorial, LNAV and VNAV are armed and engaged but the aircraft does not follow the programmed route. It continues to follow the initial runway heading up in a straight line. The MCP is fully configured with the two FDs engaged, the AT is armed and the green indicating lights are on, but the arcraft completely ignores the LNAV path on the ND.Any ideas? sam bertien

Also there are some requirements that need to be met in order for the LNAV to be used like being on an intercept heading etc...... its in the manuals........ Dan.

Here you go- LNAV arming criteria on the ground:•origin runway in flight plan•active route entered in FMC•track of first leg within 5 degrees of runway heading•LNAV selected prior to TO/GA.•LNAV guidance becomes active at 50 feet AGLLNAV engagement criteria in flight:•active route entered in FMC•within 3 NM of active route, LNAV engagement occurs with any airplane heading•outside of 3 NM, airplane must:•be on intercept course of 90 degrees or less•intercept route segment before active waypoint.
