Man, I am totally annoyed by this SB system - but not for its performance. From the beginning it has been doing double posts and then stops on booting. And it does that with and without an overclock. It did it with an old CPU and the 2nd one I got, also exchanged motherboard and RAM.And it's doing it still. Almost every day after being turned off for like a whole day or night, it double-posts and stops with blinking cursor. The whole thing wouldn't be much of a problem if I weren't using WOL often...I'm so pi$$ed-off with this system...

It seems a lot of folks (relatively speaking) with that MOBO are having that issue. Are you using the Marvell storage controller?

Nope, not in use. I mean, Marvell is turned on, it's also connected to the mostly inactive hot-swap-slot for HDDs (my backup HDDs). Also things like power on by pci, which are supposed to solve the problem, are on. I tried virtually anything. Thinking of getting Z68 (Pro)... you think it's better?

My Z68 Maximus Xtreme does the double post thing when it's cold in the morning (sometimes not always) and the Marvel Controller is F'ing useless, it wouldn't even run a CD drive reliably so now that is disabled. And you can absolutely forget about using standby with this board, it locks up when you wake the machine and the PCIE port seems to refuse to work until you power cycle the PSU.

Cheers, Andy.

I'd stick with your P67. Apparently completely disabling the Marvell controller has solved double post for many. May be worth a try if you haven't already.
