August 14, 201114 yr Hello, When I'm on Approach my speed is always to high. It isn't possible to bring the speed manually down to (i.e) 170 knots. I use my speedbrake. I changed the FMC, I'm out VNAV.Etc. Do I have to set the A/T on or off. What is the best thing I can do to bring the speed down. What I'm doing wrong In other PMDG planes there were no problems to change the speed manually.. Thanks in advance and with greetings from Holland Henk Scheffer

August 14, 201114 yr There is a pinned topic about managing during approach. http://forum.avsim.n...uring-approach/ Kimo
August 14, 201114 yr Read the pinned topic on the forum. Bring your speed down when flying level, then as you add flap you should need some power to hold speed (flying level), when you hit the g/s, lower your gear at that time (or slightly earlier), then proceed to landing flap and your speed should be undercontrol all the time. Don't descend on the g/s without gear down, it's hard to slow down that way. Get you flap 1 then 2, then 5 out as early as possible. Plan ahead. The J41 is very similar. -Iain Watson-
