August 24, 201114 yr RTFM responses may be annoying, but one reason to discourage these types of questions is software piracy. I disagree, freetards have to get the full product from somewhere, and generally it starts with someone who has bought the product and hacked the activation. Do you honestly think they would have any qualms whatsoever about sharing the manuals any more than they would about sharing the actual aircraft. I do understand your point about going online, etc. and of course the quickest way is to look in the manual. Let me say this though, I am no thickie but when I flick through those manuals, some of the stuff in there is extremely overwhelming, and not everyone is so adept at reading manuals. Some people just like to fly and imagine they are pilots, some like the navigation aspects, some like to think of it as a full flying experience. Point is, a person asking a question is a person willing to learn and helping them on their way with the basics might push them into actually wanting to read the manuals. Since they have have already taken the time to ask the question is it so hard to answer it AND offer the helpful advice that as a starting point they should try and work through the tutorial as it will give them a better understanding of the aircraft. It is a complicated beast at it's heart, and the manuals can be equally as complicated, and not everyone has the same skill levels in either flying the aircraft or reading the manuals about it. August 24, 201114 yr And another consideration: I have low vision & some complications from a very minor stroke so I have to listen to the manual using Adobe Reader's text-to-speech function. Even with enlarging the text and using the search function, it can take days to find the answer to a question. The folks in this forum usually answer questions in a fraction of the time it takes to set up the reader and figure out which manual(s) to search. dan "lensman" davison --Dan "lensman" Davisonrs
